Still haven’t gotten my hands on the latest drop, but for $300 I’ll probably wait. But my last purchase will curb some of the disappointment for now. Of course 1996 gave us a lot of gems we still call grails to this day. Especially #nike with the Nike Air More Uptempo and the not so seen as much takedown, the Nike Air Much Uptempo. Most notably worn in the league by Gary Payton and Reggie Miller. But there were many other players who wore them as well. And since they haven’t seen the light of day since 96, there’s a possibility that there’s some new “sneaker heads” who’s never heard of them..let alone seen them in hand. There’s also not a lot of pictures on the internet either. If it weren’t for @kicksigma @eastbay.archive and @al_miszapas there wouldn’t be any pictures at all lol. But now I have a pair in my size to add to the collection 😌( oh how I wish they were wearable 😩). Sucks that there was an empty box for sell that I missed. If anyone here bought that box last week, I’d love to holla at you about that damn box! 😂🤣

Are you a fan of the Air Bakin ♨️♨️⁉️ The Bakin first dropped in the April ‘97 Eastbay catalog for $124.99. There was also a kids version and matching apparel. It was part of a larger sneaker line that included the Melt, B-Que and Grill ♨️♨️. There was so much other heat available that summer that the Bakin quickly went on sale by August for $89.99. The sneaker I’m most excited about for 2027 is the return of the Air Zoom Flight Five 🤩🤩. Jason Kidd wore them in Japan in 1996 and then they released early in 1997 starting with this iconic black/lapis/white cw. I was obsessed with these from the start and copped a pair from Just For Feet when they went on sale. Sadly I wore them with low cut socks to try to look cool and they sliced up my heels really bad so I returned them 😞. I’ve been trying to get a new pair ever since! I really hope Nike does a good job on these and the shape/materials are accurate. #eastbay #archived #airzoomflightfive #jasonkidd
