“Lush Life” by Zara Larsson

VM3 First Semester Recap:
- went to my first CyHawk tailgate (long overdue Ik) 🏈
- won TWO volleyball championships (if only the Huskers won one too 😔🏐)
- played a lot of pickleball, aka my entire personality now 🥒
- ran a lot (marathon in my 20s incoming?) 🏃🏾
- spayed/neutered 6 very cute patients (and did surgery on a pig!) 🐷
- scored three touchdowns and won the ISU CVM flag football championship 🏆
- baked and ate a lot of sweet treats 🍪
- had too much fun on Halloween (RIP Biggie…) 💀
- cuddled with my roommate’s very cute kitten 🐱
- explored Portland, OR for the very first time and signed a contract for an associate veterinarian position there post-grad (surprise!) ⛰️🌊

My first semester back in Ames was a success! So grateful for all of the fun things I did this semester and the people I met along the way. Only 512 days until Dr. Montgomery! ⚕️🩺🐶

Next up in our amazing DD alum spotlights Alison Wendenhof! Alison started at Dance Dimensions in 6th grade where she danced on various competition teams until graduating high school. She went on to complete her bachelors degree in Biology with dual minors in Chemistry and Business. After college, Alison accepted a seat at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine to get her doctorate degree. She is currently going into her 3rd year and hopes to apply for a rotating internship to specialize in Emergency Medicine after school. Although she no longer dances, she is still active in her every day life. Alison just recently completed her first half marathon and will be racing again this fall! She thanks the teachers at dance for helping her build fitness habits and confidence in herself as a teen that she carries with her today. She also cherishes her relationship with Mrs. Dana who still supports her from states away on every endeavor! 🤍
