Some stills and bts from the short film Green Sky Bastards.

I want to give a huge shoutout and thank you to our wonderful cast and crew. I’m so pumped with how this project turned out, and I can’t wait to make more with you all in the years to come.

The film is available on the @shouldabooks Patreon. You can sign up for $4.99/month and get this film (obviously), plus early, ad-free, extended episodes of Shoulda Books; Discord server access; and bonus content. OR, for $3, you can buy the film à la carte. Either way, you’re helping me make conversations like the one portrayed in this film (and the ones I have every week on the podcast) happen. Link is in the bio. Thank you ❤️

Meet the team that keeps LSTFI LA running! 🏃‍♂️

Swipe ⬅️ to see the babies that grew up to be the backbone of our Los Angeles campus.

Today you can find them busy at work with fewer naps and more spreadsheets, working hard to keep LSTFI Los Angeles thriving as the artistic home for all Method Actors. 🎭

This journey began long before my departure. It began a year earlier, with a decision: to do everything I could to make it there. It was a year of work, sacrifice, saving, paperwork, fear, and hope. But deep inside, I knew I had to do it.
Then, in September 2025, I arrived in Los Angeles. For the first time in my life, I had crossed the ocean and set foot in America. For a guy coming from a small town in the Veneto region, it felt huge, almost unreal.

Then school began, at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. I had high expectations, but reality surpassed them. In those classrooms, I found extraordinary teachers and classmates. I found openness, patience, kindness, listening, and humanity.

Above all, I found something rare: a place where I felt safe to be myself.

To feel that my sensitivity and fragility were not something to hide, but something that could exist and be seen, was a form of love.

When I think of all the people I met there, only one word comes to mind: gratitude. For every word, every lesson, every laugh, every shared moment. For welcoming me. For making me feel part of something. For reminding me of who I am. For reigniting in me the fire of passion and love for life.
With all of you, I found an authentic part of myself again. Maybe the truest part.

Months have passed since I returned to Italy, and yet the memory of you, the school, Los Angeles, and that indescribable light is still alive inside me. I can say it without hesitation: this was the most important and formative experience of my life.

To everyone I met there: thank you. Thank you for your affection, your presence, your gentleness, and your human beauty. What I lived with you will stay with me forever.
With all my heart, I hope life gives back to you all the beauty you have given to others.

Marco
