This Saturday, September 19, we’re celebrating our second Harvest Celebration at Vic’s with Niko and Cooper of @alamatiwine 🍷

And with these two, there’s a whole lot to celebrate! A friendship nearly three decades in the making, and a wine project dedicated to bringing people together.

Niko and Cooper met as four-year-olds at a soccer camp and quickly became thick as thieves. In 2021, they made their first vintage of Alamati, and they’ve been making wine ever since.

For us, Niko and Cooper came into our lives earlier this year through some mutual friends. They were instant supporters of Vic’s and have shared so much of their wisdom with us. Their albariño has since become a beloved staple on our wine list, and you’re in for a treat in getting to taste the rest of their line up this weekend!

Come drink some wine, meet the guys behind the bottles, and celebrate harvest with us.

This Saturday, 5-9pm. It’s sure to be a party with these two!!!

Yesterday it was TOO HOT! (Prolly from all these chatGPT generated 80s pics but “whatever.”)

Glad I got to hang out with some cool people at two of my favorite spots to stave off this summer heat.

The afternoon started at @porterhouse.la in El Segundo to see my bud @rickyesterak and nosh on some elk carpaccio, beef tartare, oysters, scallops, and wagyu sliders, which we enjoyed with a few of their great cocktails. (Good daiquiris!)

Then I headed to @accomplice_bar inside @littlefattyla to check out their new cocktail menu. Accomplice is known for intricately built concoctions, and this menu shows off the skills of its talented bar team. The Jesuit’s Tea Party is flurry of tropical flavors held together with blend of Oaxacan and mango rums, coconut, and Epazote (a powerfully scented Mexican herb). The Fast Car is a tiki-esque slammer with Fernet, Campari, pineapple, coconut, and cinnamon and goes down REAL quick. I’ll be back soon for the Banana Boi and the Misty Latitude (and prolly all the other ones too.)

What better way to beat the heat than with a bunch of good friends, excellent food, and a bunch of great cocktails.

With the summer heat still going strong, a trip to the farmers market had me craving something cool and refreshing. The beautiful heirloom tomatoes caught my eye and inspired me to make gazpacho. And when thinking about what to pair with this classic Spanish dish, Albariño immediately came to mind. But just as my gazpacho was made with fresh California ingredients, my Albariño was also from California. Fresh, bright, and a perfect match for my homemade gazpacho, the Alamati Wines @alamatiwine 2025 North Canyon Vineyard Albariño from the Santa Maria Valley is the Please The Palate Wine of the Week.
