The best film, food and drink all in one seat.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I was absolutely tickled to hear that ALL ABOUT EVIL was one of the surprise films featured at Denver’s DISMEMBER THE ALAMO, the annual mystery horror marathon at Alamo Drafthouse! The fabulous Trace Thurman of the Horror Queers Podcast programmed the event and was kind enough to send me this video of the audience reaction, which absolutely made my day. There’s something so incredibly special about knowing that our twisted little movie is still finding audiences, especially when they have no idea what they’re about to see! Hearing this crowd react all these years later makes my dark little heart so happy. And now I’m even MORE excited to bring ALL ABOUT EVIL back to the big screen in Los Angeles next week as part of the Black Cat Cinema @blackcatcinemaseries series. I can’t wait!

Denver Day 1.5 ✅

- checked into our Airbnb in Platt Park
- had pizza 🍕 and beers 🍻 at Odell Brewing
- we were tired from our travel day, so we went to the Alamo movie theater to see John Wilson’s “The History of Concrete”
- we ended the night with cocktails at Good Luck Club and felt ancient amongst the Gen Z crowd who were for some reason trying to dress Y2K, but really missing the mark. 🤫🤪😂
- we had to try a Duffeyroll the next morning. “It’s a Colorado thing,” apparently.
- we meandered our way through the South Pearl Street Farmers’ Market, making stops at @secondstartotherightbooks and the most beautiful metaphysical shop, @confiacollective
- before brunch, we stopped at @okageneralstore for some Japanese stationery. Their vintage denim was also gorgeous.
- nutritious rainbow meal at @stowawaydnvr
- the most incredible curated collection of books and letterpress goods at @shopatmatter
- Colorado Springs for Garden of the Gods 😭😭😭💫
- a spiritual experience for dinner at @mezcaleriaalma (our waitress was from Wisconsin and we had the best time chatting + she recommended the most amazing dishes & cocktails!)
- the restaurant is inspired by Mexico City and I was equally obsessed with the decor as the food
- our nightly ritual for the past month is to watch an ep of Star Trek Next Gen & that routine has continued on vacation 🛸

POV: You came to Alamo Drafthouse for a movie night… and left questioning EVERYTHING. 👀🎬

Just watched Verity and let me tell you… this movie had me suspicious of EVERYONE. The twists, the secrets, the “wait… WHAT?!” moments 😳🫣

And honestly, watching it at Alamo Drafthouse made the whole experience even better. Good food, drinks, comfy seats, and a movie that had me locked in from beginning to end. 🍿🍸

If you’re a fan of thrillers that keep you guessing, Verity needs to be on your watchlist. Just don’t blame me when you start questioning every character. 😂

Would you survive the secrets of Verity… or would you be running for the exit? 👀

We had the cutest family movie night at Alamo Drafthouse 🍿🎬💛

We watched the new Forgotten Island and as a millennial… it definitely got me in my feels 😂 Meanwhile, my kids gave it a 6/10 and said it gave KPop Demon Hunters vibes 💀😂

Plus the movie party came with a fun craft, little keepsakes, a costumed host, and food delivered right to our seats. Such a fun way to do movie night as a family!
