Last week I went to New York for the 1st time and got to meet my girlfriends amazing family for the 1st from Brazil as well. It was awesome surprising them! #newyork

I had the pleasure of meeting, sharing conversation over meals with and hugging Alana’s family. What a beautiful and fabulous family! Watching my son do his best to speak Portuguese using a translating app to connect w/ her family was both sweet and funny. At one point, in English, her dad turned to me and said “he butchered.” Hahaha! Her dad read me a little thank you note in English and it ,of course, made me cry like the baby I am. I hugged her mom as tight as I could, as many times as I could. Her sister and brother and law are so interesting (and gorgeous!) and I already wish for more time with them.

They are headed home soon. Back to Brazil. But they are leaving a piece of themselves here with us. How wonderful to have this opportunity to blend our families, in person. We love you! It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. Safe travels!

Happy 1 year to my amazing girlfriend @alanabaccin !! Thank you for all that you do for me and show me so much unconditional love. Thank you for coming on my outdoor adventures with me, being my person to talk to, and knowing how to treat me so well. Thank you for always being there for me, acting like you listen to me when I know I’m boring you with random topics you’ve never heard about. Thank you for always wanting to go on adventures with me and see what else is in this world. Thank you for always telling me my biceps look good any anything I wear. Thank you for being my person ❤️ I love you
