🌎 Celebrating 91 Years of APCG! 🎉

Today, October 15, 2026, we celebrate the 91st anniversary of the founding of the Association of Pacific Coast Geographers (APCG) and the remarkable legacy that began in 1935.

Our story began with a group of pioneering geographers who shared a vision: to build a community where geographers could come together to share knowledge, explore the landscapes and people of the Pacific Coast, support one another, and advance the discipline of geography.

We are deeply grateful to our founders and founding members whose curiosity, dedication, and commitment created an organization that has endured for more than nine decades. Their vision laid the groundwork for generations of geographers, educators, students, and scholars to connect, learn, and inspire one another.

From the pages of our very first 1935 Yearbook to the work being carried forward today, the spirit of APCG remains strong. 91 years later, we honor where we began, celebrate the community we have built, and look toward the future with gratitude and purpose.

Here’s to our founders, our members past and present, and the next generation of Pacific Coast geographers. 🌎📚

Happy 91st Anniversary, APCG! 💙

I’ve been feeling nostalgic lately; my time abroad, and changing life goals have uprooted me from the people, places, and comforts I’ve been so grounded to growing up.

I’m not chasing memories - just appreciating that they happened, and that I lived them well.
