It was a pleasure working with artist DJ Neff to bring his landmark Mar Vista mural back to life.

Three Mar Vista coffee shops with outlets for a work or study session, and one of them scores a full 100.

The Grounded Score is out of 100 and rates a café on outlets, WiFi, seating and parking.

Alana’s Coffee Roasters is the 100. It’s open from 6:30am every day, with plenty of outlets, a lot of tables, and a free lot plus metered parking.

A few blocks down Venice Blvd, Saba Coffee Shop scores a 90. Outlets are just as plentiful, with a medium number of tables and free street parking. It closes at 3pm, so it suits a morning session.

Awaken Cafe rounds out the three at 85, over on Centinela, with some outlets, lots of tables and free street parking.

You’ll find WiFi at each of them.

The full breakdown for each one, with hours and photos, is in the Grounded app. Link in bio.

Which Westside neighborhood should we score next? We’ll start with the one asked for most.

Sharing a couple of moments from Alana's Coffee Roasters Coffee Chorus!

Love that the focus was on learning one song and getting the pitch and tune right, even with some of us untrained singers 👀😂.

I can't sing to save my life, but I am super good at joining in on the fun. I was thankful it wasn't karaoke because I refuse to sing alone lol.

Here's your friendly reminder about their upcoming event!

Chris and I made our way over to Alana's Coffee Roasters for Coffee Chorus!

We grabbed ourselves a cup of coffee and headed to the back, where we joined everyone and pretended like we actually knew how to sing. Maybe this is why I'm not famous, YET 😂. And of course, the song of the day was "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys. Talk about nostalgia!

This was such a fun, chill way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Just a bunch of people coming together to sing, enjoy their coffee, and have a good time.

And if this sounds like your kind of Sunday afternoon, Coffee Chorus is happening again this weekend, and you don't want to miss out!
