Today would have been my brother Steven’s 61st birthday. We were very close in age but closer in so many other ways. I considered him my best friend. My sisters and I growing up had the privilege of sharing 26 years of memories with him, and not a day goes by that we don’t think about the life he would have had today: a life we could have seen blossom with success, love, and happiness that he probably would be boasting about right now. His memory is more than just his lost presence. His memory is a reminder of how people impact our lives when they are living and continue to impact and shape every day after they are gone. He was the inspiration for me following my strong path in yoga. He is the reason why I continue to find meaning in my work, and hope to inspire or remind someone to live with purpose, stay present and aware, and not take that which is precious in your life for granted. There are no guarantees in life except the inevitable-so cherish, love ,forgive, support, honor and appreciate every blessing. Happy birthday Steve…still feel your presence in my heart. ❤️

Women need strong, solid, reliable and accurate information about their health: not from google or ChatGPT….but from real doctors with over 50 years of collective knowledge and practice. Meet Dr. Robert Pushkin,OBGYN and Dr. Sharon Pushkin OBGYN: two doctors, father and daughter who I trust with my questions about women’s health issues and concerns ( okay they happen to be my dad and sister but I’d still put them on a pedestal if we weren’t related!). They wrote a fantastic book, all about questions women have, from adolescence through menopause, that help keep us -the fearless informed female -engaged in our own health, advocacy, and knowledge about our bodies. Each chapter is easy to read: it includes an index with topics every woman who wants honest, concise and easy to understand reference , which sometimes is missed in our quick healthcare system of today, can have at their fingertips at any time. “ The Fearless Informed Female” is an invaluable reference to use before or after you see your doc, written by docs who have seen it all in women’s health! Come meet them in person at the following dates for their book signing at The Open Book Store On the following dates and locations: Sat 4/18 Pasadena 1-3 Sun 5/3 Simi valley 1-3 Sun 6/14 Woodland Hills. Topanga blvd 1-3 They would love to meet you in person! If you can’t make it, you can purchase their book on Amazon or EBay. Every woman should have a copy for those times when the drs office is closed but you want the words and experience from real doctors. #doctor #knowledgeispower #womenshealth #gynecology #fearlessinformedfemale

It’s always a great time fishing with these guys, even better when something bites, but the best is when we overcome the eternal conflict of man vs nature. Yesterday we caught two of these 7+ foot marlin.
