CDMX Recap

First things first, shoutout to the bday boy @handsem25 for bringing us all together. The Chicago and Miami crew locked in 4L or whatever the kids say 🔒.

Day1
Travel day, always the most fun 🙄. We got in late so we kept it light with drinking games and late night tacos.

Day 2
This is when the real fun started. We slid to the Teotihuacan Pyramids for a morning hike but it was really day 1 of me becoming the groups translator (still awaiting compensation). After chatting with the locals tryna find the best place to eat, we ended up inside a cave. La cueva was a dope experience from the environment down to the indigenous live dancers. After we went back to the Airbnb to prepare for the first night out. We stopped at a nondescript bar, Chihuahua 56 that was hosting an r&b night. After a couple drinks we decided we wanted to get a little wild and pop bottles. We ended up at Cincodoce where we got 3 bottles for $400usd and our own private room (Chicago would never 😭).

Day 3
@bbactions , @vivalajasmin , @thebeeredman and myself walked the Roma Norte neighborhood looking for a
breakfast and coffee. After we took a ride to the Art Garden in Zona Rosa. At this point we were pressed for time and rushed thru the market and garden so we could get back to hit up the @fridakahlomuseo . Fun fact, I got yelled at for taking pics and videos in the exhibit. After the museum the 4 of us made a pitstop at @handshake_bar (top 50 bars in the world). All the drinks were amazing! You could tell that a lot of time and thought went into carefully curating the menu. The main event was the bday dinner at @mochomoscdmx . This steakhouse had an extensive menu but thank you exchange rate because the highlight was the $40 bottle of Mezcal.

Day 4
Our last full day and half the crew left us! So what do we do? We go on a booze river cruise in @xochimilco_cdmx . In true fashion we were late but it worked out because we got our own private boat. After we hit a local Birria spot, stuffed our faces and doubled back to the Airbnb. We made one last liquor run as we ended the night with Irish poker and F U Pyramid.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Mexico City?

Thanksgiving 2 years ago 😍 Of course my sisters and I are emotional today. It’s our first one without our mom. I feel even more emotional because I missed Thanksgiving with my mom last year, due to just having my ladies. No one could have told me that that would have been her last Thanksgiving here with us. It hit me even harder today and makes me regret not being there. We never know when someone will leave us, so we need to cherish EVERY MOMENT. I definitely took my mom’s death to heart and as a “trigger” to LIVE! Make time for those important to me and just be PRESENT! With all of this being said, KNOW, I am TRULY THANKFUL today for everyone and everything I have in my life!
I am thankful for my health, my family, my growth, my pursuit of further growth, my journey financially, my journey spiritually, my journey as a mother..
What are all of you thankful for?
