It’s not often this quote by Mother Theresa is applied to artists, and the art world, but as a year end post it serves us well. We imagined SHIM as a network of small often isolated artists and groups that could be connected into communities. In no small way as just a means to lower isolation and anxiety. But we soon realized it could become a healthy ecosystem that might better share resources than the current “each against another” world of gallery based art. It is rare that any one artist can change the world. It is possible to share something with someone else.
In 2024 we might ask that every artist take a moment to share something, even if it a social media post of a fellow artist’s work? Easy, small, kind. Happy Holidays. #easy #kind #smallgesture #artist #happyholidays #mothertheresaquote #mothertheresa #love #shimartnetwork #artofeveryone #venicebiennale #venicebiennale2024
