The theme of my 2022 has been that finding the right community to empower each other makes all the difference. Especially since 2022 for me had massive highs but even lower lows.

Highlights of my year pictured:
1. Huddling around a fire to stay warm after PRing in the Party Bus 8k,
2. Race team #workoutwednesday was always better with friends because we tha d push each other, but keep encouraging one another to keep going.
3. Goldy’s 10 Mile conquering hills
4. 70’s disco themed race team prom! (I’m already looking forward to prom 2023!)
5. First Get In Gear with someone who constantly pushed me to be my best! I PRed in this race because of her!
6. Having a teammate come back to help me finish a race i struggled through!
7. Having ALL the finish line feelings running a 12 minute PR at @grandmasmarathon (on Autistic Pride Day) surrounded by my team and cheering on the marathoners afterwards.
8. Impulsively signing up for Park Pointe 5 Mile and having an absolute
cheering on my speedy teammates.
9. Running my biggest PR to date (54 minutes) at @twincitiesmarathon and finally finishing a marathon for the first time since 2019.
10. The mile 23 cheer zone. This moment meant so much to me being surrounded by my team in the toughest part of the race. They really pushed me to the finish.

What wasn’t pictured though were the lows:
1. At Brian Kraft, I had four seizures and woke up in an ambulance because I hit my head and don’t remember anything other than screaming out how badly I wanted to die.
2. Having my capstone rejected 5 times by an ableist professor who only saw me as inspiration 🌽
3. Going viral on Tiktok and receiving SA threats, 💀 threats, being paid money to bully me, for MONTHS which severely deteriorated my mental health to the point where I thought I wouldn’t survive. (Continued in comments)
