Closed eyes, intense focus, listening to every detail of the sound... Would you agree that this moment of a recording is, possibly, one of the most challenging ones? It goes from agreeing on how close/far we want the sound to be and on deciding the balance of the different instruments in the ensemble, all the way to assessing our own playing and making the necessary changes for the following takes 🎻 It takes not only focus, but a lot of communication skills, listening to each other's perspectives, and supporting everyone all the steps of the process 💞 We are so deeply grateful for the expertise of Guido Tichelman - our wonderful sound engineer, who guided us and advised us in such a kind and professional way. We didn't only feel supported and inspired to give our best, but also took working with him as a wonderful learning experience 😍 And of course, to @marjoleindoetgroen, who was such a support and helped us immensely during the whole process 🙏🏼 Once more, grateful to @avrotrosklassiek for their support in the release of our Debut Album! #jeanpetitensemble #baroquemusic #cdrelease #listennow

Violinist Alba García comes from Priego de Córdoba, Spain. After her studies in Granada, she went to the Hague, where she has recently finished her Master's degree in baroque violin. Based in The Hague, she combines a career in teaching with an active life as a performer. Alba has a truly creative mind, always thinking outside the box and bringing lots of wit to the ensemble. Her playing is fiery while also deeply introspective at the same time. She connects with people very easily and help ground the ensemble with her deep and personal honesty. We love her cleverness and imagination, and also the delicious crumbles she brings to rehearsals! 🤭😋🥧 Swipe for more insights on Alba! 😍➡️ #violinist #baroquemusic #jeanpetitensemble #frenchbaroque #littleinterview @albarainbow
