Holy cow. I can not believe this is happening. I am BEYOND grateful to have come across this opportunity of working at the Vast. I started here as an intern, learning more about pastry and operating a kitchen in a restaurant setting. This being my first real restaurant (besides the bakeshop) experience, I would consider it one of the most fun jobs I have had so far. I have met tons of great chefs and people. Each person has had their own impression on me, whether it be personal, or in the food industry! I now get to say that I have worked at Vast and I will miss the people there so so so much. Other than the people I’ve made connections with, my skills have expanded a ton. I started this page when I started Vast to build a digital portfolio for myself and now, it might just turn more than that. So without further ado, here are SOME (not all) moments captured most recently and in the past year. Mostly within the past week since I didn’t really get much on camera that do not entirely involve food. Cause guys, the people you surround yourself with is so important. These are the people who build you up, help you out, encourage you. Anyways, HERE WE GO! The crew! Handful missing but it’s okay! Maybe i’ll get photos of everyone and photoshop them in:’) Missing like all of FOH and majority Pastry, morning, and line. Me and ms. girl alyssa 😛😛😛 Y’all it’s the grand wizard. We stopped by the $2K Cookie Contest hosted by @twistedtreebakingcompany over the weekend, where @sugarcrumbz_by_zoemarwedel took home the grand prize for her Chocolate Snickerdoodle with chocolate ganache drizzle. 🍪🏆😋 Was it difficult to eat our way through a room full of cookies from some of the best bakers & chefs in town? Not particularly. Would we do it again? Absolutely.
