Introducing a new fortnightly Ready or Not Substack column: CREATIVE CHAOS, where we take you along the many new creative paths that mothers have found alongside their parenting.

First up is one of my oldest friends, Isabel Pinkster — operations manager at Sorrento Writers Festival, small business “maker/tryer/work-in-progress” at @albert__studio and partner of @popcreative.house – a mixed-use studio and multi-use space for hire in Sorrento.

Here, we talk about the creative paths that have opened up on the other side of self doubt, the challenge to remain present with your children and family when you love what you do, and how slowly but surely, she found the confidence to find her thing.
