I’ve learned over the years that God’s timing rarely looks like mine, but it has a way of being so much better.

Every season, every prayer, every closed door, every bit of waiting somehow led me to exactly where God wants me. To a love that is steady, intentional, full of laughter and rooted in something bigger than the two of us. You are an answered prayer in ways I didn’t even know to pray for.

I said YES to my best friend, my favorite person and the man I cannot wait to build a life with. God is so, so good. 🤍

Happy Father’s Day to the guy who taught me what strength, faith, and unconditional love look like.

Some of my favorite memories with you are the simple ones, but what I admire most is the way you’ve shown up for our family through every season. Watching you love Phil so fiercely and walk alongside him through the hardest battle of his life showed me a depth of courage and faith that I’ll never forget.

I know there will always be a piece of your heart that misses him. Mine does too. But I’m so grateful for the example you’ve given both of us and for the dad you continue to be every day.

Thank you for every sacrifice, every lesson, every prayer, and every laugh. I’m proud to be your daughter, and I’m even more grateful to call you my dad.

Two years ago today—May the Fourth, at 11:11 a.m.—I held my brother’s hand as he took his final breath after a relentless battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

Phil was a huge Star Wars fan. Losing him on a day filled with hope and imagination felt both cruel and strangely poetic—like the universe was giving him a hero’s send-off.

As Luke Skywalker said, “no one’s ever really gone.” While Phil is no longer here this side of heaven, I see him and feel him every day from the country song on the radio, the @dutchbroscoffee run, with every sunrise and sunset, and through everyone who knew and loved him so well. Phil’s legacy lives on.

My brother,Phil, was a WARRIOR. Watching him battle leukemia changed my life forever. It showed me the power of hope, the need for better treatments, and how much support matters.

Everyone always asks, “How can I help?” During Phil’s fight, we were surrounded by love—meals, flowers, check-ins. And while those gestures meant the world, what families like mine really need is action.

Happy birthday bubs. You taught me so much the 21 years you were here, but man was it not long enough. As Christians, we are called for more and to run the race God has set before us to fulfill His mission until he calls us home. For many it takes 60, 70, 80 years but how amazing that you accomplished everything God made you for in 21 years. The universe was made to be seen through your eyes and earth is better a place because you were in it.
