POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is Goabi - my best friend and worst nightmare (:-)
Goabi is the main character in my debut album - 'The Story of Goabi' a concept album featuring fourteen different artists from all around the world, each of them singing a part of Goabi's tragic story.
You can follow the new page of the project here: @thestoryofgoabi
First single coming out soon and so I'll brag more about it. Stay tuned.
Drawing by the (little too much) talented @carmels_sketches
Special thanks to @initiativemusik and @smvschacht for supporting this project ❤️❤️
And also to the amazing production team : Cameron Laing from @thefamousgoldwatch

Best Albums of 2020 90-81

90 – Don Bryant – You Make Me Feel (Classic soul/Funk/RnB from a legend making his comeback)

89 – The Magic Gang – Death of the Party (Upbeat catchy indie rock at its best)

88 – La Roux – Supervision (Super catchy Funky Synth-Pop)

87 – Cold Years – Paradise (Pop-Punk/Post-Punk/Emo with lots of different other influences thrown into the mix)

86 – Richie Kotzen hieKotzenmusic– 50 for 50 (Funky soulful rock with lots of different styles and sounds. Didn’t expect big 50 track release to be so good but its great)

85 – The OBGMs – The Ends (Alt-Punk with a combo of modern and classic punk influences)

84 – Pinegrove – Marigold (Americana with elements of classic emo, folk and even country. A couple of my favourite songs of the year on here)

83 – Alberta Cross – What Are We Frightened Of? (Alt-Indie Rock with influences of folk, Americana and more)

82 – Grey Daze – Amends (Alt-rock with hints of post-grunge and nu-metal and featuring the late Chester Bennington, more famous as the front man of Linkin Park, on vocals)

81 – Other Lives – For Their Love (Very cinematic indie-folk/folk-rock)

At the beginning of this apocalypse I was kinda happy to not be on tour for a while. Not sitting in the van, not setting up the drums, not waking up in weird hotel rooms with a hangover 🤯 and a massive headache 😂 I always preferred the studio work to be honest. I love the process of finding the right sound and the right part for each song, I love the search for unconventional drum parts, all of that...
But now, after almost a year without live shows (well, I had one in September, but there were about 80 people in a 1,500 people venue...) It's really getting hard and I miss it a lot. Yes, even the hotel rooms and the hangovers...
Here is one taken by @jnsknpf from a concert I played with the awesome (ness) @albertacross
.
.
A few hours after it was taken I was in the hotel room, drunk, sharing a bed with Petter, good times.
Hope we can do it again soon 🙂

2020? 2020! It was indeed a very special year. Despite the fact that shows weren't allowed I somehow managed to make more music then ever... And right before we are starting the next one, I want to stop and thank all of the artists who let me fuck up their music with my drums, you are AWESOME!
With some I was on stage, with some I was on an a fake stage (online) but with most I worked in the studio making sweet sweet music... Some of those tracks are already out, some will be out at some point and some will probably never get out.. but hi! Who cares?!
Thank you all again and I hope the transition into 2021 will be smooth like Alan's fur
Love and stuff
