Nice little 122/160 at @valhallaopen to start the season 🎃! Lots of things to clean up, but there’s no better place to put in the reps than the comp platform.
@methodbarbell always smooth handling in the back 🤝 and as always thank you to @valhallastrengthyyc for putting on what’s easily my favorite open every single year!

VOLUNTEERS WANTED

The Valhalla Open is October 10 & 11, which means it’s time for the part where we politely ask you to help us make the whole thing happen.

We’re looking for volunteers to help keep things moving throughout the weekend, from loading plates to technical officiating and everything in between.

Come hang out with the weightlifting people. Get a front-row seat to some big lifts. Maybe make a new friend. Definitely get fed.

If you’re available to help, sign up through the volunteer form in our bio.

We’ll see you October 10 & 11.

Thank you all for your support, donations, and words of encouragement as we send off Tara, Sean, Deridre, and Team Manger/athlete wrangler Clair to Athens, Greece this week to compete at the Master World Championships!

The opportunity to represent our country, our club, and our chaotic little community is not lost on them. They will be jacking the “gram” and sharing their story as they go.

So proud and excited for them. They deserve this opportunity to showcase their hard work on the world stage.

Ok ok ok...37 days out from @world_masters_weightlifting_26 and today was the best day I have had since injury. This was also the heaviest I have lifted since May. Pretty happy with myself today...and my knees.

👏👏👏
