¡Muchas gracias, @burgore_death_fest! We had such a killer time last Saturday, it was quite a buzz to be offered the gig barely 24h in advance, and thanks to @ramonmursanz and the rest of the organization (plus @txuso79 for his help during the day) things were supereasy for everybody. What a great night, it was!

More shows to be announced soon...

Merci, @motocultorfestival! Our return to France was way overdue, and we loved it! If everything goes according to the plan, we'll be back before you know it!

Thanks to all of you who were banging your heads there despite the crazy heat and to @nikosgiagkoudakis for his magic powers, as usual! We had a true blast at the festival and loved seeing our friends in @sacredreichofficial, @graveofficial, @anaalnathrakh, @alcestofficial, @nev3rmoreofficial, @omniumgatherumofficial, @leprousofficial, @vecteurmagazine & co. Great times.

A couple of pictures Álvaro Ochoa (@sacralb) shot during our show with Bloodbath a few weeks ago. Thanks!

You can also read his review for @rafa_basa here (in Spanish):

"Their 50' long set was simply crushing and included most of their classics, but also lots of their most recent material. They unleashed a lesson in death metal with a corrosive and pulverizing sound. This was the second time I'd seen them live in Madrid and, once again, their show was outstanding. [...] Witnessing a classic band rejuvenated and in such good shape was a true delight".

@cancerofficialband rocked the @revi.live in Madrid with their old school death metal, great concert supporting @officialbloodbath for more nights like this

We are back home from MDF and it's been quite a trip: lost and damaged gear, a flight cancellation resulting in John missing the show, an amp blowing up during the set and a stolen passport when everything seemed to be over.

But, hey, we managed to play a very difficult show and felt all your love and support during the day, even from those who weren't there. We simply can't thank you all enough for showing up to our gig even if for many people we were just a "cover band" due to the absence of John, the only remaining founding member, our vocalist/songwriter. Quite a big deal, we know, but as shocking as it was for many people, we felt we had to play the show if there was any chance in which we could make that happen: remember the festival had paid for our visas, flights etc...it just didn't feel right to let all that time and money go down the drain after how hard (and expensive!) it was to get them. But, even more so, don't forget we just love playing live and seeing all of you maniacs banging your heads to our gory stuff, so imagine going through all of this while seeing lots of sick sets during the weekend only to miss our slice of the real fun!

Big thanks to the MDF team for all their understanding and hard work and to our audio shaman, @nikosgiagkoudakis for keeping us cool and loud no matter what.

All the best to the growlers who saved the day 🫶

We know this isn't what none of you were expecting and we all missed John on stage big time, we are just thankful for having the chance of getting to play the songs he wrote with Carl & Ian every night and see how much they mean to you in so many inspiring places all over the world. We hope we'll get the chance to play the whole Death Shall Rise set some other time.

Cheers to all the other bands that also fought against all odds to make their shows happen, like @graveofficial and @sinister_band. Long live MDF and the death metal family!
