Still trying to process this one.

What started from a single photo of my dad behind the decks turned into me stepping onto a stage and playing my first ever Your Shot set.

A massive thank you to @kjhennessy.x for the last 5 weeks of training, guidance and advice. You pushed us to back ourselves and gave us more than just DJ skills.

To everyone I met along the way, the friendships, chats, support and energy made the experience what it was.

Thank you to my family and friends who came down and supported me. Seeing familiar faces in the crowd honestly settled the nerves and made the moment so much more special. My mums dance moves is better then yours!

Special thank you to @kowojay for being MC of the stage! FUN FACT: She interviewed me and gave me the opportunity to earn a spot in the competition.

This one hits differently because I played my set just days after the 10 year anniversary of my dad’s passing. My dad used to DJ back in his day, and in a best way this whole journey started because of seeing that old photo of him. It felt full circle to stand up there and do something connected to him.

Big thank you as well to my mates that kept hounding me to start DJing, you know who you are. Without the push I probably never would’ve done it.

Thank you to @yourshotau , @smirnoff , @redbullau , and @jblaustralia for creating opportunities like this.

This is only the beginning.
See you at the next one ❤️‍🔥👌🏽
