I heard these words from George Bernard Shaw the other day, and they moved me deeply. Not because they were sad, but because I believe in them. Because I feel them. ❤️

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been someone who cares deeply about others. Someone who reaches out a hand, who wants to offer love, compassion, and understanding when another person is hurting.

And when my dad and Marc died, that part of me didn’t go away.
Even in the deepest moments of my own grief, somehow, I still had room in my heart for someone else’s pain. I just continued being me.

And when I look back at those early days, I realize something that still amazes me.

While my heart was breaking into a million pieces, it was somehow expanding at the very same time. 🫶

My heart didn’t close. It didn’t choose anger or hate. It kept choosing love.

And sometimes I think about that and wonder… what a miracle. ✨

That a heart can be so broken and still find room to love even greater.

But there’s another part of his words that speaks so deeply to me. This idea that the life we’re given is an opportunity to give something of ourselves to the world. To show up for our communities. To use what we have, however much or little, to make life a little better for someone else.

To give so much of ourselves during our lifetime that when it’s time to leave this world, we know we didn’t hold back.

And perhaps, along the way, to inspire the next generation to do the same.

I don’t want to simply move through this life. I want to give to it. I want to leave love behind in the lives I’ve touched.

And I hope that when my time comes, I can look back and know that I did. 🤍

Please share if you feel inclined to. ✨

Life has felt really full lately, in the best way.

Turning 41 this month was a beautiful moment to reflect on how far I’ve come. And how life-changing the last year has been.

Since leaving my corporate job in July, having autonomy over my life and schedule has been, well, life-changing.

What once felt so scary feels freeing. And building with creativity and passion at the forefront feels deeply satisfying.

I’m still figuring out how to balance things, knowing that I made this leap with greater presence as a desired outcome, especially with my kids and husband.

And every day I am grateful. For the women of the Rêve. For the love in my life. And for the journey ahead.

Shout out to my father-in-law for helping me realize my dream of having a branded newspaper stand. Coming soon. 👀🤎

Hey guys — quick heads up about something fun happening here in West Downtown Austin on Saturday, November 7th.

A group of us local health and wellness businesses are doing a Health Walk from 2 to 5 PM. You can walk around, visit the different offices, meet the people behind them, and see some of the cool health and wellness resources that are right here in the neighborhood.

Vital Chiropractic & Wellness is one of the stops, so come by, say hi, check out the office, and hang out with us for a few minutes.

Saturday, November 7th, 2 to 5. I’d love to see you there.

Collective N°5 is joining in less than two weeks, and it’s the perfect way to close out the year. ✨

We know how busy this season can be, but if you feel called to our community, there’s no better time to give yourself this gift. This is about giving to yourself, not adding more to your already-full plate.

Our first-ever Rêvenue Series session with J.P. Morgan, our one-year anniversary celebration, an end-of-year dance party, and a grounding experience to open 2027. These gatherings are designed to pour into you and carry you into the new year with renewed energy, support, and a community that inspires.

Collective N°5 is also the last cohort with access to our first-year pricing, as membership will increase in January to reflect the additional offerings of 2027.

Express interest today via the link. Doors close soon.

SEPTEMBER. 🤍

This month held a lot. A lot of moving pieces, creating, figuring things out as I went.

September has been a deep dive into creating Seeking Light Circle @seekinglightcircle — taking something that has lived in my heart for a long time and figuring out how to give it shape. What I want it to feel like. What I want women to experience. How I want them to feel held.

At the same time, Card De A @carddea has had its own obstacles. Owning a small business will humble you quickly. There have been decisions to make, things to work through, and plenty of moments where I’ve wondered what the hell I’m doing. :)

And then there’s just… life. My girls. Love. Much-needed time with my sister. Stella behind the wheel 🫣. Friends. Walks. The ocean. Horses. A little wine. Quiet mornings. Big skies. Dancing. And a rainbow that stopped me in my tracks.

Last weekend I went to a Healing With Horses retreat, and there was one horse I felt incredibly connected to. She kept coming close to me and kissing me, almost like she was giving me a little extra love and reassurance that everything was going to work out. 🥹

I felt my dad there. I don’t really know how else to explain it. I just did. 🤍

September wasn’t one thing. It was beautiful and complicated. Full and exhausting. Exciting and uncertain. There were things that filled me up and things that asked a lot of me.

But looking back at these little pieces of it, I think what I feel most is grateful. For the people beside me. For the work that means something to me. For the moments that bring me back to myself. And for the little reminders to keep looking up. 🌈🤍

September, you were a lot. You were overwhelming. And you were pretty beautiful, too. 🤍

There was a time when laughing like this felt strange.

I don’t know if I ever actually said that out loud. But I think some part of me believed that feeling better meant I was leaving them behind.

And there was another part of it too…
I worried that if people saw me smiling, laughing, going out or genuinely having a good time, they might think I wasn’t grieving anymore. That I wasn’t sad.
That I didn’t miss Marc.

As if grief had to look a certain way from the outside for people to understand that it was still very much there.

But grief and joy were never opposites. Joy doesn’t replace grief. It doesn’t erase the person I love. It doesn’t mean I’ve moved on from him.

Almost nine and a half years later, Marc is still woven into me. Into the way I love my girls. The things I notice. The way I show up for people. The life I’m building.

And there is so much about my life now that I genuinely love.
I can say that without betraying the life I had before. I can miss him and laugh until my stomach hurts. I can wish he were here and still be excited about what’s ahead.

I can carry grief and be deeply happy. Both can be true.

Maybe that’s one of the things I wish someone had told me in the beginning:

You don’t have to look sad every moment for your grief to be real.

And you don’t have to choose between missing someone you love and loving the life you have. 🤍

Seeking Light Circle is coming soon. A place for conversations just like this. Registration opens in December. 🤍

a women’s healing wellness retreat on a ranch with horses - say less - I understand this assignment.✨🐴

my inherited-from-my-husband sarcasm aside, *healing with horses* with the magical, wonderful, inspiring, healing, incredible @alchemy_collective_ x @halfhalthooligan was just absolutely extraordinary this weekend at @winplacehome 💖🙏🏽

It is beyond my wildest dreams that I get to be amongst amazing women like this, helping bring each other’s dreams + visions to life while helping others along their journeys.🦋🙏🏽

@winplacehome is an exceptionally special place - you feel it the moment you walk amongst the magical horses there, surrounded by rolling hills & a co-regulated energy you can’t deny.✨

What they do with & for horses (& humans) is nothing short of remarkable, & the women behind it are the salt of the earth. I can’t wait to continue supporting their mission & for future collaborations with my @girlsempowermentexperience gals, women, & more.💫

@winplacehome takes retired race horses & works with them to give them their next chapters in life, all the while creating an experience of nervous system co-regulation between humans & horses.✨🐴💫

the walk to my little nook where I got to lead the women 😍✨

imagine yoga, flow, breath, body, dancing, movement, meditation, healing here😍✨🐴🙏🏽💫

the gangs all here - @melindagonzalezlove @melodygodfred @sheshereto with me even when you’re not with me💖🙏🏽💫🦋

Kaya’s art & @sheshereto ‘s art with me, for me, for them💖🙏🏽
