POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We’ve spent years creating the things we wish existed. Somewhere along the way, we decided we needed to document what it takes to keep doing it.

AREN’T YOU TIRED? is a documentary about @yourweeklytouchup , South Africa’s alternative music community, and the people who choose to build the spaces they want to see, every single week.

A story about community, artist entrepreneurship, shared value, sacrifice, and the simple question that follows anyone who keeps showing up: aren’t you tired?

Starring @pleasesaythe_by, @iamatpik, @alda3rd & @m.bandezi, with perspectives from the artists, cultural producers, collaborators and community who make up our scene.

Created by @normvl_.
Directed & filmed by @umalume_uwah for @urban_skhotheni.

Coming to a film festival near you. Soon. 🎬

The ability to freeze time by capturing mementos of this mpilo thing, through sthombes and videos🖼️🎞️

It’s so fascinating till this day. And each person sort of have their own interpretation of that visual representation.

But because of familiarity, such a concept could be taken as a simple things. But in all honesty the invention is pure genius 👽✨🧠

I could’ve just not said anything on this caption ey!😂 But I’m a bit of nerd man. I couldn’t help but to ponder on this concept.

With that being said, enjoy this life thing. Stay weird and curious, but be cool👽✨🌻 Be kind to one another and always spread lerato♥️

Another one for the lineup 🔥

We’ve added Al Da 3rd to Y2KNine9: Fiasco Edition.

Known for his original style, energetic live presence, and a sound that blends hiphop, soulful undertones and futuristic production, he brings something different to the lineup.
