Over the past three years I’ve been traveling and hopping around but I always made it a point to spend the holidays with my family. With all the traveling I’ve done, it helped me grow up and I became ultimately closer to them. I understood why my parents were strict but understanding and loving while I was growing up, and I am still in the process of understanding my little brother’s hard shell but soft center. I also have my yaya Rona that has been part of my family since I was 7 - she was always there to help and listen (and cook me delicious food hehe). Aaand of course my aunts, uncles, and cousins who I’m pretty sure have seen various cringeworthy stages of my life but have chosen to love and support me in whatever I decide to do. This is the first year I’m spending the Holidays away from my family and not being able to give them a hug on Christmas day hurts but knowing how much they love and support me is more than enough. Mom, Dad, James, Yaya, and to my whole family: I miss you and I love you.
