Seven days on the Allagash with the old college crew. We didn’t pack light, that’s not what this trip was about.

We feasted on last fall’s venison, ate fresh trout, drank too many drinks, and told stories we laughed at for hours. No cell service, no noise from the outside world. Just the river, good people, and nowhere else to be.

Hard to ask for more than that.

3 years sober under the belt and it feels so good to come this far. I’m lucky to have my family and friends in my corner. I made this choice for myself but the people in my life make the decision easy for me to continue on this journey.

I had the most insane support crew yesterday and felt the love!

I claimed 1080 by 1080 days sober, it didn’t happen then and I didn’t put it down yesterday but I went to war and that felt like an accomplishment in itself, I’ll keep trying till I get it though!

Ridge Yurt, Uinta Mountains • Jan. 16-18, 2026

Our annual backcountry yurt trip looked a little different this year. Due to super low snow conditions we never even put our skis on, but we still had a blast ripping around on snowmobiles, sledding, hanging out and playing board games. We had a great crew this year!

Baby also got their first snowmobile ride at 27 weeks pregnant. Until next year!

Graveyard Point, 2024
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing life at our little abandoned cannery squatter fish camp in Bristol Bay, Alaska for a huge feature about WILD SALMON for the July 2025 issue of @foodandwine written by the amazing @kimhcross

Kim nailed it down in this article. Everyone seems to be confused about where to buy their fish, what types of salmon taste best, are most sustainable, frozen vs.fresh, farmed vs. Wild, etc. All you need to know can be found in the story linked in my bio.

Meanwhile at Graveyard Point, life is as brutal and weird as always. Having fun wrecking our bodies to stuff y’all’s bellies full of pink omega 3 brain food. This was year 17 running a skiff at graveyard and my 30th season commercial fishing in general.

To all my graveyard buddies, that you for letting me steal your souls with my camera for 17 years. I’m eternally grateful that we get to share this bizarre and beautiful world together! I tried to link everyone but i know Im missing a few. DM me your insta accounts!

Wrapped up another season fishing in Bristol Bay Alaska. 20 years since my first season, honored to still be allowed to fish these beautiful waters. It still chops me down to nothing and then builds me back up again just like the early years. So much love to our crew and the whole graveyard community. Big beautiful fish this year, keep an eye out for wild Bristol bay salmon in the market, doesn’t get much better than this. Drifters stink, set-netters rule
