Feliz Dios de los Muertos!! It’s Day of the Dead and while I don’t officially celebrate the holiday, I admire and respect it. When I was growing up I always thought it was the Mexican version of Halloween (don’t judge me) - and realized it was so much deeper and honorable than that!! #nevertoolatetoeducate⁣
⁣
Day of the Dead is a time to celebrate those who have passed. Those who celebrate typically make home altars to remember the loves who have passed, prepare traditional dishes and pray for those now gone. ⁣
⁣
FUN FACT: the really pretty symbolic paper we see hanging is called “Papel Picado” - it’s tissue paper that is delicately decorated and represents the fragility of life. ❤️💛💙💜⁣

Almost. Definitely in the morning. Then by mid afternoon it’s warm. Layer weather is more like it. ♥️
