POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This was such an amazing weekend! I want to say thank you to @artsgowanus for providing me with this opportunity to participate in Gowanus Open Studios!

I also want to say thank you for the advice and guidance provided by @aleatheasappand of course my mother. Because everything both of y'all said was very valid.

Many thanks to my mom for pushing me to have my work out there otherwise it'd be in our apartment decorating the walls.

And much thanks to the individuals that purchased an item, and being my first customer! Appreciate the kind words and vibes!

@stoop.stories - If you know, you KNOW! Let's hear our chant:

S.T.O.O.P. — STORIES TOLD IN NYC! 🗣️💛

.
.

If you believe that everyone has a story worth telling, that community is essential, and that every generation has something to teach the next, I encourage you to support this work.

💛 Visit Stoop Stories, attend an event, share a story, invite a friend, or make a donation. Help keep these conversations alive and these connections growing.

Find them at StoopStories.com (and check their official channels for upcoming events and ways to give).

Because stories matter. Our elders matter. Our young people matter. Our neighbors matter. And in a world that can sometimes make us feel more disconnected than ever, gathering to listen to one another is an act of community and love.

@aleatheasapp talks about her work during @artsgowanus Open Studio Weekend.

Now in its 30th year, @artsgowanus Open Studios Weekend, October 17-18, 2026 includes more than 400 artists, businesses, and venues in Gowanus who open their doors, giving the public a rare glimpse inside the former factories, warehouses, and studio buildings of our vibrant neighborhood.

Artists will be present to discuss their work, share their processes, and showcase their latest projects. Plus, it’s a unique opportunity to purchase work directly from local artists.

Art Intimacy marked my second panel for Siren Unplugged —

creating space for artists to speak beyond the work and share the stories, discipline, culture, and experiences behind their creativity.

Art deserves more than a wall. It deserves a voice.
