POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This week we’re joined by our pal @alecsrobbins to chat about those weird little guys in the computer that we loved as kids, but then left perpetually dying of hunger on a server somewhere: Neopets! (Yes, they’re British.)

Listen now wherever you get your pods, or watch on YouTube!

We drafted our favorite games from the PlayStation 3… in SPACE!

The PS3 is 20 years old so we celebrated it the only way we know how: to get hit by an asteroid and pick 5 games each. Don’t miss this banger!

@alecsrobbins on MALE MODELCAST pt. 1/2 🎤 for my new song “Male Model” coming out July 28th, I discussed themes from the song with my my intellectual/art-brained friends. In this clip Alec and I talk THE BEAST and why I used its incel theme as a jumping off point for my own work. Got another Alec clip coming out later so stay tuned!

The best way to promote comics is to talk about them and share what you like. So here is my semi-regular rundown of what I've read recently.

TURNCOAT by Alex Paknadel, Artyom Trakhanov, Jason Wordie, & co. A really smart take on Chinatown about collaborators and resistance after an alien invasion.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK vol 3: WORLD WAR HULKS by Greg Pak, Paul Pelletier, & co. The end of the World War Hulks saga has lots of smashing but Greg always keeps it grounded and human.

NEW MASTERS by Shobo, Shof, & co. An interesting afro-futurist sci-fi story about the struggle for resources and control of history, and those caught in the middle of it all.

MR. BOOP by Alec Robbins. Easily one of the funniest comic strips I've ever read. A brilliant, depraved, heartfelt, and pathetic love letter to Betty Boop and threesomes.

THUNDERBOLTS: CAGE by Jeff Parker, Kev Walker, & co. Lots of huge twists, like a great Thunderbolts story should have.

DEADPOOL vol. 5: WHAT HAPPENED IN VEGAS by Daniel Way, Carlo Barberi. There was a point when Deadpool books could really do *anything*. This is in there.

THE LAST AMERICAN by John Wagner, Alan Grant, Mick McMahon, & co. I can not say enough good things about this. Brutal, bleak, brilliant cold war sci-fi. Just a terrifying and heartbreaking story about man's inhumanity to man.

ROAMING by Jillian Tamaki & Mariko Tamaki. Does a really compelling job of capturing the aimlessness, the hope and betrayal, and the adventurousness of a certain age.

BAREFOOT GEN vol. 4 by Keiji Nakazawa. Four volumes in and it's not getting any easier. Glimmers of hope and kindness are fleeting in this biography about a young boy in the aftermath of the bombing of Hiroshima.

LOST IN THE FUN ZONE by Leif Goldberg. Sketches, musings, and a sort of story about a cat(?) and his... cat? It's really vibes.

We finally have our gear shop up and running over @squanchgames! There’s a bunch more than what I have here - Link in bio

Being indie means we can do whatever we want with our shop, and I’m pumped for the first set of merch @shadaddie and I put together. One of the things I’ve been dying to do is work with artists I love to make limited designs, and our first artist is the amazing @matt.crabe - he’s an incredible artist and I adore the work he did for us!

I was also in portland recently shooting a @highonlifegame skate video with @wheelbarrow @kellyharrisfx and @clarkefilms - it was - blast, willis is the man! As usual, Willis crushed! I’ll post some behind the scenes stuff and more info soon.
