We’re excited to introduce The Shop at Material—a new space dedicated to supporting artists and making original art and artist-made objects more accessible to our community.

Launching alongside our newly expanded gallery, The Shop will feature a rotating selection of original artworks, ceramics, prints, artist books, design objects, and other unique works by artists we admire.

The Shop is an extension of what Material has always been about: creating opportunities for artists, building meaningful connections around contemporary art, and giving people more ways to bring the work of artists into their lives.

Come explore The Shop when we reopen next Saturday and discover something special to take home with you.

A fun night celebrating art, community, and the newest additions to the Salt Lake County Visual Art Collection ✨
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual art acquisition reception, and a special thank you to the artists whose work we are honored to celebrate and steward. It was so meaningful to gather, connect, and spend time with the people who make this work possible.
We’re grateful to be part of a community that values creativity in public places and continues to support artists in meaningful ways 🤍

Welcome to Keep Salt Lake Weird!

In a culture that promotes homogeneity, this exhibition honors the strange, the handmade, the imperfect, and the wildly original. It’s a love letter to the people, places, and subcultures that make Salt Lake feel like nowhere else.

Thank you to the incredible artists who made this show what it is. Come see it in person at MOMU and experience all the weird little details up close.

On view through April 24 during regular shop hours. Don’t miss Salt Lake Gallery Stroll on April 17 from 6–9 PM.

Huge shout out to @daxhansen.jpg for creating this video! He’s endlessly talented and equally kindhearted.
