CARIBBEAN GSD IS BACK

Thank you to everyone who attended our kick-back!

It was amazing to meet students from the Caribbean and the diaspora. By sharing our geographies, we connected on cultural, social and regions we come from. We shared experiences, environments, and identities shaped by those places. As well as how we have transitioned and navigated the GSD, witnessing the criolization of our cultures in real time.

CARIBBEANGSD is committed to researching, showcasing, and advocating for the Caribbean spatial imaginary — communicating Caribbean initiatives and sharing alternative methodologies. As we continue to connect with the Caribbean community, sharing space and ideas, we will create, challenge, disrupt, and redefine the colonized histories that perpetuate the erasure of so many of us. Tonight was just the beginning of building new narratives together.
