📸: SHALLOWATER W/ TWINE + A LESSER VERSION (Quarry, Liverpool) 🗓️: 4 September 2026 🎸… “Combining slowcore, post-hardcore, country, and Americana elements that defy genre labels, Shallowater quickly established themselves as ones to watch in the alt-country/slowcore scene. Shallowater’s self-described “raw West Texas dirtgaze” has positioned the band as an evocative and distinctive force amongst current alternative genre-blending projects.” 🎶… “Formed in Adelaide in 2021, Twine began as a solo outlet for Katsaras’ experiments in brash, country-inflected rock. Deer in the Headlights follows the Australian Music Prize-nominated debut New Old Horse (2024), a tender yet eruptive exploration of identity and wayward relationships.“ 🔊… “Blending shoegaze, folk, emo and ambient electronics, a Lesser Version have received support from BBC 6 Music, praise from The Quietus and The Needle Drop, and were shortlisted for Green Man Rising, performing at Green Man Festival 2025.” FEATURING: @shallowater.band @twineband__ @alesserversion PRESENTED BY: @intheroompresents @noplay.uk HOSTED AT: @quarryliverpool #liverpoolmusic #artinliverpool #liverpool #gigphotographer #liverpoolphotographer

🚨FULL LINEUP // SHALLOWATER 4TH SEPT🚨 Super excited to announce that @alesserversion will be joining this amazing bill! Really cant wait for this show - tickets selling fast make sure to grab one Swipe along to view some clips & read below for some more info on the bands! Shallowater (@shallowater.band) West Texas trio Shallowater blend slowcore, post-hardcore, country and Americana into their self-described “raw West Texas dirtgaze.” Their acclaimed sophomore album, God’s Gonna Give You a Million Dollars (2025), was produced by Alex Farrar (MJ Lenderman, Wednesday, Indigo de Souza) and earned praise from Stereogum, BrooklynVegan, Alt Press, Beats Per Minute and The Needle Drop. Expect heavy, distorted guitars, quiet moments, and expansive, emotionally charged songwriting. Twine Adelaide’s Twine fuse country-inflected rock with noise and indie, earning a nomination for the Australian Music Prize with their debut album New Old Horse. Renowned for their explosive live shows, they’ve shared stages with Unwound, Mclusky and The Hard Quartet, while appearing at Laneway, Bigsound and SXSW Sydney. a Lesser Version (@alesserversion) Following the release of their third album and a sold-out all-dayer with us earlier this year, a Lesser Version return with brand new material performed live for the first time. Blending shoegaze, folk, emo and ambient electronics, they’ve received support from BBC 6 Music, praise from The Quietus and The Needle Drop, and were shortlisted for Green Man Rising, performing at Green Man Festival 2025. Presented by @intheroompresents & @noplay.uk

Your Friday playlist ⏯️ Take a look back at some of the live sessions we’ve had the pleasure of hosting and recording here at the record shop over the last 18 months. We’re incredibly grateful to every artist who’s stepped through our doors, and to our brilliant team who’ve given their time, creativity and care to bring these sessions to life. Supporting independent music has always been at the heart of Dead Air. Whether it’s giving artists a platform through these live sessions, stocking their records, filming interviews and features, or simply shouting about the music we love, we’re proud to champion the incredible talent coming out of Liverpool and beyond. These sessions are something we’ve always chosen to invest in ourselves because we believe they’re worth doing. Independent artists deserve opportunities to be discovered, and we’re proud to play a small part in that. Here’s to many more 🙌
