One of the things that give me so much JOY is creating in community. This zine workshop I hosted for my fellows at @origoka in Norway was so precious, so beautiful, so fun! I am deeply moved by all the STUNNING creations and even more so inspired by the humans I have met and spent these 12 rich days with! I’ve made great friends from around the world. A truly expansive and soul-aligned trip this was… until next time fellows 🫂🌀💙 #zines #zineworkshop #creativecare

The No Hate conference was an event like no other! 🔥 Get a taste of the atmosphere that gathered 65 people in Marrakech. We had representatives of differents CSOs, researchers, youth workers, activists, policy-makers and educators all active in advocacy work joining us from Morocco and different corners of the globe 🌍 to mark the end of the No Hate Embassy programme. 🚫 This was the ultimate assembly of front-line defenders! ✊ Panel talks from expert speakers, presentations from fellows, parallel workshops and a lot of networking in between.. Yet to us, this was more than the sum of its parts; it was the culmination of two years of relentless effort to push back against the surge of hate in our communities 🤍 But that's not all! 👀 You can watch the full recording of all of this right now through the link in our bio. 🔗 #NoHateEmbassy #NHE #NoHateConference #erasmusplus #internationalconference

The No Hate Conference far exceeded our expectations! 🥳 We were deeply moved by the feedback we received ❤️ which boiled down to "This impacted me deeply. We need more of this!" The question that we wanted to answer was clear 👉 "How does hate grow? And how do we break the cycle of hate?" our panelists unpacked this question from different perspectives 🎤 🌟 Dirk Kunze: how hate spreads through attention, and how strategic communication can counter it. 🌟 Marita Brčić Kuljiš: freedom of speech, hate speech, and shared responsibility. 🌟 Vijay Raju: fear as a driver of hate, and how to break the cycle. 🌟 Hind Abushkhadim: intersectional hate - misogyny, racism, and power structures. 🌟 Alexandre Beddock: turning lived discrimination into collective action against hate. 🌟 Nina Koevoets: youth-led pathways to a culture of peace. Alongside the panels, each of them led their own interactive workshop, to step away from theory and equip participants with tools, methods, and attitudes they can carry with them 🌱 A huge thank you to all our speakers for everything they brought to this event! 🙏 #NoHateEmbassy #NHE #NoHateConference #erasmusplus #internationalconference

A year and a half of work of dedicated work, and it all led to this moment! 🥹 Three days ago, we wrapped up the No Hate Embassy Conference in Marrakech, the final milestone of our long term ambitious programme. 🎉 What began as a Euro-Mediterranean effort to address hate speech from multiple angles (through research, capacity-building, campaigning, and youth-led action) culminated in a gathering that supercharged us with insipiration. ⚡ We've had over 60 attendees joining us 😍 including international expert speakers, civil society actors, and our incredible NHE fellows for a full day of keynote speeches, workshops, and conversations about the themes of fear, freedom of speech, intersectionality, youth practice, and the mechanics of hate 💭 We also had a showcase of the impressive initiatives our fellows led during the NHE fellowship and the impact achieved over these past months. 👏 In the end, it was the perfect way to close a programme that meant so much to all of us. We’re proud. We’re grateful. And we’re excited for what comes next! ❤✨ #NoHateEmbassy #NHE #NoHateConference #youthforchange #SpeakUp #HumanRights #StopHateSpeech #NoToHate #erasmusplus #erasmusplusproject #internationalconference #marrakech #erasmus #youthworknohate

We are currently in the implementation phase of the multi- Erasmus+ project Breaking Boundaries 🇪🇺, which includes training courses held in both Denmark 🇩🇰 and North Macedonia 🇲🇰, as well as a final conference in Brussels 🇧🇪. The conference will bring together a range of EU stakeholders to present and discuss the key learning outcomes from the activities conducted in Denmark and North Macedonia. The project focuses on the Balkan region within a broader EU context and involves participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦, Albania 🇦🇱, North Macedonia 🇲🇰, and Kosovo 🇽🇰—alongside participants from established EU member states such as the Netherlands 🇳🇱, France 🇫🇷, Belgium 🇧🇪, and Denmark 🇩🇰. The training course in North Macedonia, held in late April, led to a range of contrasting narratives, intense discussions, and meaningful reflections. We now look forward to the next phases of the project, during which we will deepen the dialogue and collaboratively develop recommendations for relevant EU stakeholders 🧠📘. The Danish delegation, participating on behalf of Copenhagen Youth Network , includes individuals with professional backgrounds in Copenhagen Municipality and the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (Danmarks Radio). The stay in North Macedonia, combined with the personal stories shared by young people from the Balkan region, brought valuable reflections on how the region’s historical, political, and cultural ties to Europe are understood from a Danish perspective. For CYN and other stakeholders involved in youth work in Denmark, this perspective is highly relevant— in the context of international cooperation 🌍 but also for local youth engagement. Young people in Denmark are increasingly navigating questions related to identity, belonging, and borders in a globalised world. This makes the project both timely and meaningful—locally as well as at the European level. We now look forward to the next phase of the project, which will soon take place in Denmark 🇩🇰.
