Dear Saint Leo University,

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy.” – Philippians 1:3-4 (NIV)

Thank you, for taking a chance on me four years ago and giving me a place to grow, lead, and love. It is hard to find the right words to say goodbye to a place that has given me everything. If you had asked me four years ago, I would’ve had no idea how deeply this place would shape my heart and my mind, and all the lessons I would learn along the way.

You gave me a community to cherish, a space to find my voice, and the immense privilege of serving this student body. You gave me experiences I never thought possible and opportunities that reached far beyond the classroom, even around the country.

To my incredible family, and to the friends, colleagues, faculty, and staff who became my second family, you are the reason I am crossing this finish line with a Political Science degree in hand. You carried me through the hardest of days and helped shape me into the man I am leaving this place as.

Saint Leo will forever hold a piece of my heart, not just for what I accomplished here, but for who I had the honor of becoming alongside all of you. This degree, these memories, and the privilege of serving this campus is because of you and I am grateful to God.

Thank you for everything. I will love you always, Saint Leo.

-With Love,
Luigi Santo Meschino

Recently, we’ve had the pleasure of partnering with @nmdp_org , a global leader in stem cell therapy for people with blood cancers and disorders. NMDP, formerly known as Be The Match, is one of ΣΑΕ’s largest national partners.

Throughout the day, we acquired over 50 swab donations! Over the course of the next few months, donors will found out if they are a match to help someone in need.

We were very excited to get this impactful organization on campus and are working to have this program be routine at Saint Leo. We would also like to thank Maya Woods and Gabrielle Morales, the team behind @nmdp_florida for helping us put together this event.
