⚪️🦁 ALEX “SINGKHAO” JONES — A-CLASS DEBUT

Our fighter Alex is making his Muay Thai A-Class debut in Thailand, stepping into the prestigious Rajadamnern Stadium in Bangkok, fighting out of FA Group.

Alex has been living and training in Thailand for the past few months, and when the opportunity came to fight at this level, he grabbed it with both hands.

Alex has only been training and competing for a relatively short period of time compared to most fighters competing at this level, but he knows exactly where he wants to go in this sport. Opportunities like this are exactly why you put the work in.

Win, lose or draw, we cannot put into words how proud we all are of Alex. To see him take this opportunity, travel out to Thailand, establish himself and step into one of the most prestigious stadiums in Muay Thai — and do it all on his own — is something special.

Alex is still young, and this is only the beginning. He has already achieved so much in such a short time, and we genuinely believe he is destined to go a long way in this sport.

Now go out there and enjoy every second of it. 🇹🇭🥊

IMPROMPTU LOWER SESSION WITH CLIENT @alexjxns.smt | PASSION WITHIN COACHING 💭

Today was the first of many sessions together for Alex and I as he’s now moved to @definitiongym.tonbridge (commission please yeah). Being able to take this opportunity for us to train together has got me so excited for Alex’s future within our coaching process as, in one session, his training came on leaps and bounds from start to finish just by having me there to make sure the fundamentals are set in place and executed to a super high standard.

Seeing the progress made in one session has genuinely got me so fired up for the future potential here. And this feeling just reaffirms the fact that coaching is my thing, I honestly believe that as a coach your clients will not make as much progress as possible if you’re not just as invested in their process as they are. I believe very much so in leading from the front with my clients so if I’m not invested and passionate how on earth can I expect them to be?

It also shows in the results. Alex is a Muay Thai fighter and, not to blow my own trumpet, but Alex had never won a fight before us working together. Since us working together, he’s never lost a fight.

I love this game.

Also the last slide showing Alex getting a membership and us agreeing to train literally an hour before the session😂😂😂

‼️Two out of two for Semtex on @hitman_fightleague ‼️

First up was Alex with his first c class fight. Alex controlled the fight beautifully using his strong kicking game, clean sweeps and was very comfortable in the clinch. By the end of the 3rd round, judges arrived at a majority decision in favour of @alexjxns.smt. Alex has been training in this sport for under 2 years and has developed an insane amount in such a short time. There is no slowing this kid down. Big future, one definitely to watch.

Second fighter of the night was Dylan with his debut for Semtex. A lot of pressure with it being his first fight with us, 2 years out of the ring and an unbroken winning streak. However, Dylan went in there and fought with conviction and intent, everything Semtex stands for. Knees were landing clean through the middle, setting up strong low kicks with quick hands. It was all working. His knees started to became a problem for his opponent, ultimately leading to a TKO in the final round. Only the start for Dylan with us and it’s only going to get better.

Both lads did themselves and the club proud. There will always be room for improvement and aspects to work on whether win or lose. Time to get back to training and to keep levelling up.

Thank you @hitman_fightleague for having them both on this brilliant show.

I’ve spent years imagining how it would feel when i got my hand raised☝️

I wanted to fight (and WIN) by 40 & don’t want anybody to think that this came easy to me. I’ve never won anything in my life before this weekend🥇

I have so much respect for amateur/ pro Thai (or any) fighters on the grind trying to to earn a living: it’s tough, it’s humbling & psychologically it’s draining getting ready for a scheduled fight in front of a crowd.

I wanted to show my respect to my coach @steve_semtex @semtex_muaythai for giving me an opportunity to fight as a WBC amateur, for his guidance & toughness- my opponent- a teammate, for taking the fight on short notice & my corner for making me feel so relaxed & like we’d done this a hundred times before 🙏

Coach knows the plan ⭐️
