🎉 20 Years of Elementz 🎉
2021–2022 A period of rebuilding, growth, and looking forward. ✨ In the midst of Covid, Artistic Director Lindon Barr was awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) grant from Arts Council England, allowing him to further develop his theatre practice through research and development at Sadler’s Wells and DanceEast. A significant milestone for both Lindon and the future artistic direction of Elementz. 🎭 This era also saw a full company rebrand, refreshing our identity as we emerged from the challenges of the pandemic and stepped into a new chapter. As the world began to open up again, so did opportunities to travel. We created a brand-new corporate show and relaunched our performance offering, taking work across the globe. Projects included performances in Bahrain with The Greatest Cirque, work in Athens, and contracts with Norwegian Cruise Line, Alton Towers, and The O2. 🌍🔥 Back home, we celebrated another major milestone with our first-ever Academy Show, 15 Years Strong, marking fifteen incredible years of Elementz and bringing together our growing community of dancers and families. ❤️ We also relaunched Elementz Youth in Loughton. Their debut performance as a company saw them crowned UDO Essex Street Dance Champions, an incredible start for the next generation of Elementz dancers. 🏆 Our Training Company found its new home at The Manor LDN, further cementing Elementz’s position within the UK dance scene and strengthening the pathway from Youth Company to Professional Company. This chapter was also marked by sadness as we said goodbye to Miles Harcombe, a valued member of our Training Company. His loss was felt deeply across the Elementz family, and he remains remembered by all who trained and danced alongside him. 🕊️ A chapter of resilience, renewal, and remembering what matters most. 💙 Thank you to all the dancers who continued to believe, create, train, and grow with us during these years. #Elementz #EFam #20YearsStrong

🎉 20 Years of Elementz 🎉
2017–2018 The end of one era… and the beginning of another. 🔄✨ We celebrated a huge milestone ‘10 Years Strong’ with our anniversary show. A moment to reflect, honour the journey and recognise everything that had been built over the first decade. ❤️ This era also marked finding a new London home for our Pro Company sessions at Higham Hill Hub, a space that has now held us for 10 years and counting. A true base for growth, training and consistency. 🏠🔥 Our theatre work reached new heights with our first full-length production, Perception, premiering at Resolution at The Place. We then took the work on tour to the Stockholm Fringe Festival, where we were honoured with the Emerging Talent Award. A defining moment for our creative voice. 🎭🏆 Alongside this, we continued to build and nurture our Cambridge-based training company, who took to the stage at World of Dance. This was also a powerful time for Elementz Youth, a strong generation of dancers who not only delivered standout performances at Keep It Moving, Breakin’ Convention and Dancers Delight Under 18s, but would go on to achieve incredible things individually. Many of them are still with us today, now part of the Pro Company - a true reflection of the pathway and legacy. 🔥 A chapter of celebration, expansion, and stepping fully into who we were becoming. 💙 Shout out to all the dancers who were part of this era — past, present and continuing the journey with us. @pippalofthouse @wilms_official @mercy_osborne @_olivejones_ @lowrihamilton @ellahagann @sophiecwillliams @alex_whelan_ @rubyc902 @chrissiewigginton @w.g.brettle #Elementz #EFam #20YearsStrong
