My love letter to gymnastics:

Dear gymnastics, we have spent the last 10 years together.

My first meet as a level three. I had the tightest, glittery perfect bun. I hit my handstand forward roll and saluted the judges for the very first time. I stood on the podium and got my first medal.

I AM a gymnast

You introduced me to my friends and gave me coaches that feel like family.

I practiced
I laughed
I won a lot
I sacrificed
I struggled
I cried
I wanted to quit
I lost a lot
I changed my goals
I kept going

Today I got to spend my last meet with the same coaches and friends that have been there from the start. I preformed my last floor routine, saluted the judges one last time, sat at my last awards. And just like that…

I was a gymnast.

Thank you for the adventure
Love Brie
