Nat threw me the cutest shower this weekend and I got reminded for the millionth time how lucky I am to have her as my mom. So lucky and grateful for all of the beautiful examples of mother and womanhood I have in my life to look up to. Best weekend ever! Ready to meet our little guy so soon! 🤍🤍🤍

18th for me at @bigsugarclassic this weekend. This result might not seem like much, but I’m proud of this one.

30 minutes before the start of the race, we got news that it was shortened to 50 miles instead of 100 due to severe weather warnings. This threw my plan out the window, along with the majority of the field. All I knew was that it was going to be full gas for a little over 2 hours on a course that nobody really had much knowledge of.

I raced pretty well for the first 45 minutes, staying towards the front and avoiding any separation. After the first longer climb, I was caught on the wrong side of the group and got gapped off. I chased hard for about 20 minutes just to come back and have the same thing happen again. Three more times this happened, where I was on the wrong side of the split.

But instead of throwing in the towel, I had that never-say-die mindset and dug deep to hold the wheel in front of me. With about 6 miles to go, and right when it started to downpour, we saw the front chase group up the road and chased hard to catch them.

With 3 miles to go, we made contact right before the last two climbs to the finish. I cannot put into words how insane this final stretch of racing was. With a breakaway up the road, we hit the last two climbs all out. I did everything I could to make it up those climbs to be in a position to sprint with that front chase group.

Going into the last turn before the straightaway I was there. I took a risk trying to go inside and got forced into the grass. Somehow stayed upright and emptied the tank going to line finishing P18.

Being so close to finishing inside the top 10 stings a little, but it feels good to know I have what it takes to go to the line with some of the best off-road racers in the sport. We’re going to carry this momentum into the off-season and use it as motivation for next year🫡
