Why join Rainbow Lit Fest 2027? 🌈

Let’s hear from Alexander Balakrishnan (@alexanderbalakrishnan ) on why spaces like RLF matter.

Queer people deserve spaces where they can come together, share their stories, celebrate their differences, and have conversations without judgement.

As Alex says, The Festival brings diverse queer experiences into the same space, creating opportunities to listen to one another, exchange perspectives, and make room for stories and experiences that deserve to be seen and heard.

This February, join us again for two days of literature, conversations, art, and community at Rainbow Lit Fest 2027, on 6–7 February at Gulmohar Park Club, New Delhi.

Come discover stories, meet people, exchange perspectives, and be part of a space that celebrates the many ways of being queer. We look forward to seeing you there! 🏳️‍🌈

While the rest of the country is joining hands to protest and demand a better India because of alleged government misuse of power, conspicuous by their 𝗔𝗕𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 are the 𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗭 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 - the so-called heroes and heroines of the nation.

Apart from a few senior actors like #𝗜𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗻 #𝗩𝗶𝗷𝗮𝘆𝗩𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮 and #𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗤𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶, literally 𝗡𝗢𝗡𝗘 of the younger stars have taken to social media to 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗡 the unprecedented violence being implemented upon the protesters at #𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿 in #𝗡𝗲𝘄𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶.

Visuals show right-wing thugs dragging 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻, tearing their clothes, offering to 𝗕𝗨𝗬 them for Rs.300/-.

And 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 hasn't had the 𝗚𝗨𝗧𝗦 to come out and condemn them.

Where is 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱? Especially 𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗭? All the 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗮𝘀, 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘀, 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮𝘀, 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗸𝘀, 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀, 𝗩𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀,...𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬?

Do you think it's worth spending money on watching their films or even following them on instagram when they seemingly don't care about the youth and the country??

Are they just pretty faces with no conscience?

Let's have a conversation about this....

Such a THRILL😍😍😍😍

Thank you my dearest @pennymacrae for including my two-bits on the #AmbaniWedding in your fabulously well researched and expertly written article in the @thetimes London .

It's such a HUGE honour to have my name in such a prestigious international newspaper and I'm so grateful that you thought to include my opinion in your article.

Lots of love 💞💞💞

Two weeks ago, when @_shrutisancheti invited me for her showing at #lakmefashionweek , I immediately got online and booked my ticket to Delhi, knowing that I was going to witness a landmark show in the history of Indian fashion.

Shruti had always stood for understated luxury, where each and every piece has been expertly handcrafted by her dedicated kaarigars; where a singular piece can take up to six months to create; where each and every garment is unique, timeless and will one day be a part of India's fashion heritage.

Her latest collection (called Advayaa) for the Fall / Winter season saw the models grace the catwalk in the most exquisite embroidered jackets and multiple silhouettes layered in a serene display of creativity as live musicians performed classical songs.

Take a look.....
