Band: Shearling

I like how my camera is drowning in bass reverb, warbly during the show, that's how orgasmic it is. I can't wait for these new tracks to be released on their sister album, gen their best so far

To echo about what everyone else is saying about Shearling’s current tour- it is a visceral, unique, otherworldly experience. I can’t recommend enough that you try to see them live.

"Shearling"

Pen and ink + watercolor marker on paper.

Had the immense pleasure of seeing @shearling__official live tonight and gifting them this goofy drawing I did.

Absolutely awe-inspiring, pummeling, transcendent show. Felt like I was being pulled down into hell and then back up into heaven.

Thanks @manic_pacquiao for coming with me!! You made the whole experience even better.

FEATURING
◼ SHEARLING ◼
A COLOSSAL WEEKEND 2026

Shearling emerge from the US with a sound that blends slowcore melancholy, shoegaze textures, and weighty post-rock sensibilities. Their music is lush yet fragile, layering guitars and vocals into a dreamy haze that is both tender and crushing. The 2025 record Motherfucker, I Am Both: “Amen” and “Hallelujah”incorporates banjos, dulcimers, and electronics, creating a surreal sonic palette that challenges and enchants.
‍
Formed by members of Sprain, Shearling embrace unpredictability. No two performances are the same, and their music thrives on the interplay of dissonance and melody. Connections to other US underground acts enrich their sound with wide-ranging influences, while their quirk lies in restraint — silence and space are as vital as distortion, lending their compositions a meditative tension.
‍
WHAT TO EXPECT
‍Shearling envelop audiences in a cocoon of sound. Sets are absorbing, instruments swap mid-performance, and crescendos build slowly, carrying listeners through shifting landscapes of chaos and clarity. Every concert feels like an intimate, living experiment, playful, unsettling, and entirely unique.

MUSICAL PATH: SLOWCORE / POST-ROCK / AVANTGARDE

SHEARLING is a part of the ACW 2026 Friday programme. You can check out other announced Friday acts, the full lineup, and ticket availability on our website.
