You thought last year’s Art Basel was lit? Just wait until you see what 2024 has in store! 🔥

Last year, we partnered with several of our Armada Masters and world class performers to tantalize all five senses—from a blindfolded dining experience led by @humanexperiencecreations to an intimate piano performance by Walk The Moon lead singer @nicholaspetricholas.

@haru_kuntanawa of the @KuntanawaNation opened up the evening with a traditional prayer before members @elementaldancer and @GenevieveJaepresents performed with fire.

Needless to say, the night left an impression on members and guests alike...
✨

Don’t miss out on The Armada’s extra special Art Week celebration this year...

As the practice progresses you begin to learn to control, expand and move energy.

Bandhas are energetic locks sealing in energy in the body.

This is Maha Bandha, the Great lock.

How to apply it:

1. Exhale forcefully and completely. Retain the breath outside.

2. Tuck chin to chest, pressing hands into knees and lifting shoulders up

3. Contract the abdominal muscles inwards and upwards. Take a false inhalation as though breathing in without taking in any air, creating an air vacuum

4. Contract and pull up the muscles of the pelvic floor

5. Bring all of the awareness to your third eye and feel into the energy sealed in the body. Pause into the stillness.

6. Release pelvic floor, naval contraction, and throat lock. Head floats back upright then slowly inhale.

This is one of the many practices that we will be diving deep into in our upcoming Level 2 Breathwork and Mindset training course. August 23-25 @hanuyogamiami

At the Armada we’re all about expansion, and @yesjessmagic’s Sensual Salon provided the tribe with a journey into self-discovery. We dove into the many diverse expressions of relationships, sensuality and sexuality through expansive conversations and an interactive journey into the world of Daoist Tantra and Sacred Sexuality.

We’re always grateful for the openness with which the tribe comes into these experiences, allowing for deep connections to form within the community 💫

In The Belly Of The Beast 👁️⚔️✨

I have had the gracious privilege of being in the epicenter of so many heart led communities in Miami 🙏🏽

there is vibrance, artistry, wisdom, beauty and brilliance on so many inspiring levels ✨

however, in the midst of Miami’s thriving communities there is a silence that engulfs every soul walking this Earth

a silence that breeds indifference and separation
a silence that echoes a lack of empathy, embodiment and oneness 🫂

we can not preach “love and light” all day, lead peaceful meditations and yet REFUSE to acknowledge or address the genocide that is happening in Gaza

we are not exempt from the atrocities taking place and our inability to come together in UNITY in this time shows just how much of a facade most of this is 🫀

we KNOW that another person’s suffering is also OUR suffering

we KNOW that corruption, greed and power is at the forefront of human conflict

we KNOW that every experience is a SACRED OPPORTUNITY to come deeper into command and connection with the all 🙏🏽

I ask that we take a breath and a pause 🍃

BE with the discomfort and drive it to purpose

we are ALL in this together 🌏❤️

may these words cultivate a level of reflection for each of us to come into greater coherence with heart and mind

for the real work is in the privacy of our own hearts

Yoga helped me so much in my life … recovering from a lot of injuries after a car accident and also facing a grief (when I suddenly lost my husband) … and he helped me when I moved to NYC alone without speaking English …
And it is also helping me to keep my body fit at 45 years old 😜

How did it help ? Well … helped me to be aware … to be in touch with my self, forced me to se what I Have instead of only what I miss… helped me to accept the pain, to escape to it sometime but then to accepting… helped me to be more aware of of what I want and to move aligned toward my goals … I’m still not good to let go … I’m still often mad for what I miss… I’m impatient… I still have a lot to improve .., in my asanas, in my body, in my life and in myself … but I’m keep going … getting stronger, more patient, more aware, more happy … better!
And that’s why I’m here to share … how to practice more mindfully (preventing injuries) toward a better you and toward the life you want …
I’m still a hot mess … but I’m getting better … and that is all we can do … the bad we can do …
Thank you fur the yogi who came to practice with me … I can do what I do only because of you 🙏🏼💗
