The paintings that we have all been waiting for by Irena Antonets, were finally unveiled in all their macrocosmic glory. Such attention to detail, on such a scale, they felt infinite. Wearing a dress of her own design, and having launched her online shop in the last year, Irina’s success is inevitable. I’m sure those who attended her workshops would definitely agree.

The Clay Society was the brainchild of Celina Rosas and her skill and expertise shone through when observing her own work at the exhibition. The sheer number of ceramic pieces was shocking, let alone the indirect questions about the construction of identity. As she wisely stated, ‘What we once were, interrogates who we are today.’

On Thursday 9th June 2022 the final year MA students for Fine Art and Future Design had their vernissage for their end of year show. Titled ‘A Walk on the Wild Side’ this exhibition hosted 10 international artists and their incredibly diverse, multimedia, creative endeavours. Each of these students started this journey during the pandemic, many had difficulties arriving in Prague and coping with the restrictions, but the show was an absolute success, which is a testament to their tutors and their resilience.

One of the highlights of the exhibition were the interactive experiences such as Matthia de Vittis’ and his analog Twitter room, Youtube room and IG room. Made far more poignant by the government-dictated isolation over the last two years, speaking to strangers on deep topics about sex education or pornography (just to name two) was both interesting and exhilerating.

For many, International Women’s Day is an opportunity to show the women in our lives how much they mean to us by buying flowers for our mothers, sisters, friends and partners. This year @ngodeiorg we encourage you to take part in a silent auction, purchasing art that was inspired, curated and created by Prague’s very own wonder women.

I hope to see you there in order to raise money for an incredible cause supporting survivors of domestic violence @profem_o.p.s._
