🧟‍♀️✨COMMUNITY SHOUT-OUT✨🧟‍♀️

Looking for a thrilling show to get you into the eerie season of October? Presented by Touchstone Theatre + Glitch Theatre, Vascular Necrosis is a darkly comic zombie love story coming to The NEST on Granville Island -- AND this weekend is the LAST CHANCE to see it!

For a little history on Bramble Theatre Collective's connection to this piece... we first read sections of it in September 2022 when Jordyn submitted it to us in a script call! We picked it up for a workshop and produced it as a staged reading at rEvolver in 2023, and co-produced it again as a staged reading with Glitch Theatre in 2024!

We are big fans of this work and of Jordyn and are thrilled with the life (heehee 🧟‍♀️) this show has gone on to have and the positive reception it's receiving!!!

🎟️With only a few shows left, go grab tickets today (available through the link in @touchstonetheatre bio)!!!!

Goodbye to Indigo Woods and to our favourite camp counselors. Just over a week ago we closed The Grown-ups by Simon Henriques and Skylar Fox at this year’s @vancouverfringe 💙

Thank you to everyone who came out to see the show, to the volunteers, and to the festival staff for making this such an amazing experience. We are so so proud of the show and we feel so lucky we got to share it! We are also so incredibly honoured to have been recognized as runner-up for Best of the Fest!

To our cast and crew, we couldn’t have done this without you and we are so thankful for your time and energy and trust in Lexacon and this project!

Hopefully, this is the first of many exciting to things come! We’ll be back soon :)

Love,
Alexa & Conor (aka Lexacon)

PUBLISHED, AWARD-WINNING, DIVA!

Drink every time Claudine is proud of something in this post 🫨

So much theatre this year!

📚🎭Back in June, @momentum_180's Parallel Project had a book launch, which included my monologue, People Without Colour. @argelmdr and @jocelyn.tsui, you've truly created something so incredibly meaningful for racialized artists. Beyond proud of you, and touched to be a part of this shift towards a more inclusive theatre landscape.

⛺️🏅I made my Vancouver Fringe debut as assistant director to The Grown-Ups, and we won Best of Fest Runner-up! So proud of the @heylexacon team, whose sweetness and supportiveness made me feel so chill and confident. Your trust in me means the world. Most of the pics in the post are just them because they're so cute!

🪖👗UPCOMING! @jbm.theatre's inaugural production of Dogfight. I'm very proud of this show and all the beautiful and nuanced work our company is doing. It's truly moving! Set in the 60s on the eve of the Kennedy assassination, we explore themes of social expectation and its tragic consequences. Bring your group over to Granville Island for a night of musical theatre ♥︎

Say hello to Becca! Becca is our most organized senior counselor, Maeve’s bestie, and another camper turned counselor! She’s a team player but won’t hesitate to take the lead if the opportunity arises. If you run into Becca, ask her about her scary story, she loooooves to tell it every summer at camp.

Becca will be played by Alexa McKee! Not only is Alexa in the cast, but she’s also the co-founder of Lexacon, co-producer of The Grown-Ups, and our Costume/HMU designer. Originally from northern Saskatchewan, Alexa is an actor, musician, and beginner clown based in Vancouver! She holds a B.A. in Human Geography and Theatre from UBC and currently works in digital marketing and content creation. In addition to Lexacon, Alexa is part of the Ragamuffin Productions (Junebug, Camp Goneaway) team! You may have caught her on stage with Ragamuffin at Theatre Under the Wire in February. She is so thankful to everyone involved in the show for coming onboard, putting their trust in Lexacon’s first project, and for giving this show so much love and care!

Select acting credits include: Hurricane Diane (Leather & Lace Theatre), Vascular Necrosis (Glitch Theatre & Bramble Theatre Collective), Head Over Heels (UBC Players Club), Vascular Necrosis (Bramble Theatre Collective & rEvolver Festival), 30 Neo-Futurist Plays (Bramble Theatre Collective).
