Here are the top five moments I witnessed this Spring Season at South.

#1 goes to the South Boys Lacrosse Team making school history: They earned a spot in the State Final after their thrilling comeback and OT win against Mill Creek in the Final Four.

We were down until late in the fourth quarter. In that quarter the defense did not allow Mill Creek to score, and the War Eagle attack tied the game.

We controlled the ball for the last 3-4 crucial minutes of regulation, forcing OT. I had several heart attacks, but the winning goal made it all worthwhile.

Have a great summer and thanks for following along.

Coach; A passionate, dedicated individual who unlocks hidden potential and maximizes a team’s performance by believing, encouraging and developing.

This is the goal every time I step foot out on that field and I can’t thank South Forsyth enough for trusting me to do just that as Director of lacrosse. I am honored and grateful to be apart of this SOFO family and I’m so proud of how well this team progressed through out the season.

Thank you again to our incredible seniors for laying down such a strong foundation for the future of SOFO lacrosse.🥍 Thank you to our board for your support and organization. Thank you to our amazing coaching staff Coach Matthew @matt_vollrath45 , Coach Topher & Coach Kew @kewball42 for helping get the boys dialed in and improving their game. Thank you to every SOFO athlete/player, JV & Varsity, who believed and trusted the process with a daily disciplined sense of purpose, your hard work paid off💪🏽. Thank you to @gasdigitalproductions for the awesome documentary/ film🎥⛽️ and thank you to @cj_lacava & @postmillane for the great photos📸

What an great run South Forsyth made going to the State Championship for the first time in school history, and it definitely won’t be our last, until next season😎🦅 #wareagles

Here are the top five moments I witnessed this Spring Season at South.

#3 goes to the South Boys Lacrosse Team winning their game against West for the first time in . . . many years.

It was an epic game where South was suddenly doing everything right and building confidence as a team. It was the on-ramp to the playoffs and a trip to the final. South won, 9-6.

Thank you seniors for helping lay down a solid foundation for which this program can build upon🧱. You’re all great young men and each of you played a huge roll in leading this team in the right direction. Best season in South Forsyth history, well done gentlemen💪🏽.
