Getting to create WellTail for a commissioned project with the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship Program honestly felt so surreal and inspiring as a creative🤩 This brand started with one very important source of inspiration: my cat. It quickly turned into a playful, personality-filled branding. I loved pushing my creative potential and bringing this concept to life through custom illustration work. This project was genuinely such a fun experience from start to finish. And a huge thank you to my creative director @alexcopodesigns for all the support, guidance, and encouragement throughout the process. I joined the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship program and teamed up with @adobe @adobefirefly to explore what Adobe AI tools can do to expand design! For this project, my task was to create a fictional brand identity using Adobe Firefly & Adobe Firefly Boards. I created drift, a sustainable outdoor lifestyle brand for those who swim in summer and slide in winter (like me 🫶) It was such a valuable learning experience diving deep into working with AI to generate images and to edit. I had never dived into generating designs intentionally like this, and this project taught me there’s a lot you can design and create using the power of technology. Meant to post this yesterday but ya know what? EVERYDAYYYY IS INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY HERE AT WOT And When we say women, we mean ALL women. Some things I think of when I think about what it means to be a woman in the creative profssskonal world… 🌟 Creating in your own voice and on your own terms!!!! Loudly and boldly!!!!! 🌟 Uplifting others, knowing there’s room for everyone to make it big 🌟 Redefine success through community, not by comparison (I begrudgingly admit that I struggle with this one sometimes😮‍💨) 🌟 Show up as you are!!!! Your identity, your art, and the evolution of how you navigate this world are all valid. Adobe MAX Recap Part 2 of 3: Culture Amid all the amazing product announcements this year, something else stood out to me. Being surrounded by friends from all around the world and seeing how everyone expressed themselves through what they wore and the stickers they created, this MAX felt like a celebration of culture. This past year I’ve found myself holding on more tightly to my Indian roots, inspired by the artists and creatives around me. After spending 17 years in the UAE, a decade in India, and now living in Canada, I’ve carried pieces of every culture I’ve been part of. (Currently learning Polish, by the way 😅Jenkuyeh🙏). But this year at MAX, I wanted to pay tribute to where I come from. I decided to take a fashion risk by blending tradition with my own style. I wore a mundu (also known as a veshti or dhoti) and paired it with my love for jackets. Whether I pulled it off or not, I had a great time trying something new. Huge thanks to @thechrisdo for inspiring me to take more chances with fashion. 📣 Adobe slayed with all the new product updates this year. My favourites were: 1. Adobe Express in ChatGPT - Using templates and editing straight within CHATGPT. 2. Firefly Boards - A one stop shop for all your AI brainstorming needs. 3. Premiere mobile - Finally a place for pro level editing on my phone for FREE 4. Safe zones in Adobe Express - This is awesome because I always check these when making ANY social content and now it's in Express too! 🎵 Music: Shoutout to HMK @hanumankind . I’ve been following his music since 2020, and it’s been incredible watching a fellow Mallu bring Kerala culture into hip-hop across North America and beyond. I chose this track because it perfectly captures the vibe I felt throughout MAX. I need a whole other post to talk about the amazing people I met on this journey, so stay tuned for Part 3 of 3. P.S.
