Sometimes being “a creative” means getting to step behind the curtain and see some pretty incredible things being built up close.

I recently had the pleasure of being on set for the filming of the “By Any Means” music video featuring David Kushner & The Isley Brothers, written by the legendary Diane Warren, for Paramount Pictures’ latest film.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to get a little closer to projects of this caliber and see the magic happen behind the scenes. It’s pretty great to be a fly on the wall; to watch, learn and listen… even if it was over 100 degrees in Nashville on the day of filming, ha. But the heat only made it all the more memorable. It’s a good thing that sweat and an “interrogation room” film scene go hand in hand!

The film “By Any Means” is set against the backdrop of 1966 Mississippi and brings a heartbreaking and important chapter of Civil Rights history to the screen ... one that deserves to be seen, heard and talked about.

Forever appreciative to Marcie Allen for taking me along for this wild and crazy ride.

The song and music video are out NOW! The movie hits theaters TODAY… (GO SEE IT!) There’s a lot more to this project still to come. 🎟️👀🎬🍀✨

If you step into FAME Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, you immediately feel the history living in the walls. 🎙️✨ @fame_recording_studios

This legendary building played a major role in the sound and soul of the 1960s. Giants like Aretha Franklin, Etta James, and Duane Allman cut the records that shaped American music history.
To capture that authentic spirit for the soundtrack of the upcoming film “BY ANY MEANS” @byanymeansmovie
we went straight to the source‼️

Watching musical genius @pynkbeard (Sebastian Kole) step in as vocal producer and musical director, guiding and shaping these powerful vocal arrangements in the booth, felt like tapping directly into the legacy Rick Hall built decades ago.
An incredible lineup of talent came together at FAME to bring this sound to life:
@pynkbeard + @brittneyspencer + @denitiadenitia + @thereynaroberts + @theboykinz + @2livebre + @keithhetrick + @stellaprincemusic + @dr_blum

Recently had the privilege to cut @stellaprincemusic ‘s cover of ‘Love Yourself” for the @grammys #ReImagined series.

An amazing experience to work with such talented artists. It’s always great when the song I’m listening to over and over again is this good!

Thanks @ameliajauregui_ for bringing me on and trusting me with the edit (and to hold a camera lol)
