Celebrating 25 incredible years of Community Bank Strathmore! 🎉 It was a fantastic evening celebrating our 25th birthday at Rydges Melbourne CBD, surrounded by so many people who have been part of our journey. It was wonderful to have Senator John Brumby, who officially opened the branch 25 years ago, join us, along with some of our original staff members and shareholders. Their commitment and vision have helped shape what our Community Bank is today. A highlight of the celebration was having some of our charity partners join us for the celebration, including the Royal Children’s Hospital, Peter Mac Cancer Foundation, Variety, and WEHI, to name just a few. Their presence was a great reminder of the positive impact we can make together through community banking. A night filled with great memories, laughter and celebration. I’m incredibly proud to be part of an organisation that continues to give back to and invest in our local community. Here’s to the next 25 years! 💙 Hope you had a wonderful celebration!

It was fantastic to see the new turf area completed at Strathmore Primary School, made possible through funding from Community Bank Strathmore. Projects like this create lasting benefits for students, providing a safe and welcoming space to learn, play and connect. A big thank you to the two school leaders for their wonderful presentation. It was greatly appreciated and it was a pleasure to hear how this new space will make a positive difference for the school community. We’re proud to support initiatives that help strengthen our local community. @communitybank_strathmore

A morning worth recognising 🙌 Peter Mac Cup Breakfast (held earlier this year) was a powerful reminder of the incredible work being done to support world-leading cancer research, advanced clinical care, and better outcomes for those affected by cancer. We at Strathmore Community Bank are incredibly proud supporters of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and this important event, helping contribute to the ongoing impact they make in people’s lives. With the continued support of the Carlton and Collingwood Football Clubs, this special event continues to bring people together ahead of the big rivalry clash between the two teams. Hearing from David Parkin and Professor Grant McArthur, who both bravely shared their personal journeys with prostate cancer, was incredibly moving. Their stories highlighted just how important early detection is when it comes to treatment and recovery. As a proud Blues supporter, I was lucky enough to sit alongside Marc Pittonet – such a genuinely happy character – and also meet Sam Docherty, Patrick Cripps and Jacob Weitering.

Last week, Alex and I had the absolute pleasure of presenting a Workplace Banking session to the wonderful staff at the Caroline Chisholm Society! 🏢💼 We had a great time diving into some important financial topics and helping the team feel more empowered about their financial wellbeing. During the session, we covered: ✅ Everyday Banking: Tips and tools for managing day-to-day finances smoothly. ✅ First Home Buyer Options: Navigating the exciting journey to buying a first home and the lending options available. ✅ Offset Accounts Demystified: Breaking down exactly what an offset account is and how it can work for you. ✅ Home Buying Q&A: We wrapped up by answering some fantastic questions from the team about the ins and outs of purchasing a property. A massive highlight of the visit was getting to see their brand-new caddy (van) first-hand! 🚐 We were incredibly proud to help them secure this through our recent sponsorship funding approval, and it’s amazing to see it ready to support their vital community work. A huge thank you to the Caroline Chisholm Society team for having us and for being such an engaged audience. We love getting out into the community and making a tangible difference! If you would like to have me present at your workplace - please let me know. Public speaking is looking like it’s becoming my thing 😆
