Alexandre et Younesse, September 2025, Laval, Canada For the first time since 2021, I had the chance to document my ā€œactualā€ Tribe. Iā€™ve been documenting different mixed race identities over the world but this project was always lacking what actually motivated me to start this project in the first place - My Tribe. Growing up with these boys, being away from them for 4 years, to come home and witness them becoming men, (which I was really proud of seeing by the way) cemented that his project is obviously about the notion of sameness between mixed race kids, but ultimately, itā€™s about how my own tribe shaped me, and my own narrative. There has been a clear lack of ā€œIā€ in this personal project, but not anymore.ā€Øā€ØI canā€™t think of a more meaningful addition to this project. Je vous aimes mes gars.
