This post has taken me a week to get together. Words have failed me. My heart is full and my gratitude is pouring from me.

For those that know our family know the story of my special Alex. My sunshine, my love. I shared tears with his incredible neurologist, Dr. Mireles, who has been with us from the start. She’s been a part of our successful recovery and journey to where we’re at and we owe a debt of gratitude to her and his incredible team of doctors from the start.

From 8 years old and 36 lbs to now my big 18 year old and weighing in at over 106 lbs - look out folks! He’s going to graduate in May, and he’s such an amazing and inspiring human. The world needs Alex, and if you have never had the pleasure of meeting him, you should put on your bucket list. You won’t regret it.

I’m so proud to be his mom. I’m so proud of where we started and how far we’ve come. Miracles happen. Prayers are answered. Love conquers.

Do what’s right, not what’s easy. It’s always the answer. #forevermyalex #sunshine #miraclebaby

Mahomie! I know you’re smiling down, Daddy! And Grandpa John loved the Chiefs, too. That one was for y’all! Let’s go, Chiefs!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

That’s Daddy’s Chiefs blanket I sleep with every night that I had gotten him years ago. Feels so good because I know he’s so happy right now! Don’t doubt our Chiefs and Andy Reid! Chiefs Nation!
