Venus in Pearls.

@chelleyb in Chanel, Schiaparelli, and Prada from Pechuga. It was well known in the press that Elsa Schiaparelli and Gabrielle Chanel weren’t particularly fond of each back in the 1930’s. Their opposing design philosophies were at odds with each other, today, nearly 100 years later (where does the time go?) the Chanel client can be seen at times wandering inside a Schiaparelli boutique. And vice versa. I’ve always wondered what each designer would think of their respective house now.

But I digress. 🤭

Here Chelley wears the Prada SS98 lucite heels that were featured quite prominently in the ad campaigns. Miuccia’s steely grey 90’s aesthetic gives way to baby pink.

Two things can be true at once 💖✨

I can love a classic French and still want to completely reinvent it the next day. I can be in a clean-girl mood one minute, then reach for texture, color, chrome, or something totally unexpected the next.

That’s honestly one of my favorite things about being a nail artist. There are no real rules here. Trends can inspire us, seasons can shift the palette, but the nail world is basically one giant playground for whatever mood, idea, reference, or tiny obsession shows up next.

The world is our oyster, and apparently so is the nail table.

Carousel concept inspired by @tinaghazidigital ❤️

consider this the cashmere sweater of manicures 🤎

There’s a point every Fall when everything starts looking better in brown. The clothes, the coffee, the leaves, apparently the nails too.

Soft, rich, uncomplicated. Exactly the kind of manicure I want when the season starts settling in.
