🐺 Learning from one of the best.

Northwest Vipers and Irish Wolfhounds players Mike Naulty, Dylan Coyle, Peter Danowski and Louis Spratt had the brilliant opportunity to link up with NFL legend Alex Mack and pick his brain on all things football.

Mack enjoyed an incredible 13-year NFL career with the Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers, earning seven Pro Bowl selections and a place on the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s All-2010s Team.

A massive thank you to Alex for taking the time to share his knowledge and experience with the guys, answer their questions and pass on some invaluable advice.

Opportunities like this are priceless as our lads continue to learn, develop and represent both the Vipers and the Irish Wolfhounds. ☘️🐺

Congratulations to @alexmack51 on becoming a Browns Legend!

For seven seasons, Alex was the anchor in the middle of one of the best offensive lines many of us have watched in Cleveland. With @joethomas73 beside him, he gave us an era of line play we could count on, even when the team was going through tough years.

He started 101 games for the Browns, earned three Pro Bowl selections and was named an All-Pro in 2013. Those honours speak to his talent, but Browns fans will remember his toughness, consistency and the standard he set up front.

Glad I got to meet him. Well deserved, Alex. Thank you for everything you gave Cleveland. Go Browns! @clevelandbrowns #football #browns #nfl

From a scouting perspective, Alex Mack was the type of center whose value went far beyond size or testing numbers. His combination of football intelligence, technique, leverage, functional strength, balance, short-area quickness, toughness, and movement ability made him one of the top offensive line prospects in the 2009 NFL Draft

At @cal_football , Mack made 39 consecutive starts, earning three First-Team All-Pac-10 selections, All-America recognition, two Morris Trophies, and the 2008 Draddy Trophy (now known as the William V. Campbell Trophy)

On film, Mack consistently played with excellent leverage, hand placement, body control, initial quickness, and an understanding of blocking angles. In the run game, he could create movement at the point of attack while having the athleticism to reach, scoop, pull, work combination blocks, climb to the second level, and adjust in space. In pass protection, his strong base, active hands, awareness, and disciplined footwork showed up consistently, along with his ability to recognize fronts, pressures, blitzes, twists, and stunts

Cal Pro Day:

• 6’4”, approximately 307–311 lbs
• 40-Yard: 5.17
• 10-Yard: 1.75
• Bench: 20 reps
• Vertical: 28½”
• Broad: 8’10”
• Shuttle: 4.75
• 3-Cone: 7.31

Selected 21st overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2009, the same traits Mack showed at Cal translated at a high level in the NFL. His intelligence, technique, leverage, toughness, and athleticism made him especially effective in zone concepts, where he could execute difficult reach blocks, work combinations, climb to linebackers, and consistently create favorable blocking angles

Mack played 13 NFL seasons and started all 196 games he appeared in, earning seven Pro Bowl selections, three Second-Team All-Pro honors, and a spot on the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. He was later inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame

this list is a compilation of the top six #nfl players eligible for the 2027 pro football Hall of Fame. As seen with the voting of 2026 inductees, from this list or any that were missed, who would be the biggest snub of next year‘s inductees? 🎙️👇 #football #halloffame #nflnews #trending
