POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
The response to trauma can either support healing or compound harm. It’s a simple concept, and it’s true.

The reopening of the sexual assault investigation at Cornell University has brought difficult questions about reporting, evidence, investigation, and institutional response back into public conversation. We are not here to determine the facts of this case.

We are asking a different question:
What happens when someone comes forward and says, “I was sexually assaulted”?

Too often, survivors enter systems that require them to prove their pain before they receive compassion. They are forced to disclose the most vulnerable, dehumanizing experiences to strangers who are not educated or prepared to receive their stories.

Their memories are scrutinized.
Their choices are questioned.
Their behavior is examined.
Their timelines are challenged.
They are asked to relive their trauma again and again.

What trauma-informed practice understands can instead become the exact grounds for doubt.

A trauma-informed system does not mean abandoning accountability or due process.

It means creating safety.
Listening without judgment.
Offering voice and choice.
Protecting dignity.
Understanding trauma.

It starts with “I believe you.”
It then asks “What do you need?” alongside “What happened?”

The person coming forward is a whole human being, not a piece of evidence.

We must demand more from our institutional systems.
More humanity.
More safety.
More dignity.
More trauma-informed care.

This is the system we should be building.

I just have to wish a very special Happy Birthday to @alexmarchenergy. 💜

This woman is passionately devoted to the healing of the world… and especially to women who have experienced deep trauma. Over the past two years, I have witnessed her step into her own Radiant Power on an entirely new level.

There is something so powerful about women deeply and passionately supporting one another through healing. Our conversations have always been profoundly healing, while also calling each other forward and witnessing one another as our most powerful selves.

I have watched Alex choose integrity over visibility, opportunity, and profit. She has walked away from paths that could have elevated her platform because they did not align with her truth. Her commitment is deeply personal: she wants women who have felt unseen, disbelieved, or alone in their healing to know that there are answers and that someone is willing to stand beside them as they find their way back to themselves.

Her devotion is not “for the gram.” It comes from a deep conviction to serve and stand for women who may not yet know how to stand for themselves.

Thank you for allowing me to witness your journey and for being such a meaningful friend in my life. I am so grateful for you.

Your mission is profound…
and this is only the beginning. 💜
